I do love seeing all your initial reactions. I think a massive aspect of ASMR is being surprised/hearing the unexpected, which is why unboxing videos are fantastic ASMR! ❤️
The NC license plate says "First in Flight" because at Kitty Hawk, NC on December 17th, 1903, the Wright brothers took the first powered flight.
In response to 7:15 If my mind serves me correctly, North Carolina is the place where the Wright Brothers made history by flying their first airplane in 1903 in Kitty Hawk; hence the famous term "First in Flight".

The NC way to eat grits is with salt, pepper, and butter. Instant isn't as good as the regular kind, but you'll get an idea of them :). Really good with scrambled eggs and toast.

Grits are a coarse corn meal. It's a kind of porridge. Typical Southern food. Add butter and cheese, salt and pepper to taste. Do not add sugar. You may know it as polenta.

Grits are a Southern US staple made from ground corn that you boil in water. They're best served with salt and butter, cheese, or sugar. It's usually a breakfast side dish. They're also super good with shrimp as a meal. Not everyone likes them, but they are something to try if you ever visit the Southern US.

Grits are a southern staple! Instant grits are ok, but the plain grits made with water, salt, and butter are absolute deliciousness. Typically, grits are a breakfast food (I love it with scrambled eggs and bacon), but they make a wonderful dish with shrimp too. Some people make them with sugar, but my vote is no. Sugar is for tea in the south, not grits. :)

Grits are fine grains of wheat usually, and it's like a porridge or gruel (depending on how much liquid you use), it has very little taste and is usually seasoned with salt or butter but you can spice them up anyway you like or put cheese in them as well

Munchos made my childhood. So easy to find, most corner stores have them for $2 :D Good after school snack with a sandwich. Grits... I don't think you'll like them, they're like a grain. Pretty tasteless unless you add seasonings to them.
Grits are a breakfast food. They are made of ground corn. Originally a native american dish. You add hot water and stir until thick. With plain grits, you can add salt, pepper, butter, and/or cheese to taste. As for the Quaker Instant Grits you received, I can't vouch for the Red Eye Gravy and Ham flavor as I've never had it. If it's bad, please don't hold it against all grits.

I believe it is considered a type of porridge from a culinary standpoint. The ground corn granules are very small, giving it a smoother consistency compared to oatmeal or traditional porridge.

+ASMR Angel hey everyone makes mistakes. Not even all americans know the state abbreviations. I had to help my brother recently because he was trying to find a concert near New york and they list all the locations using abbreviations. Either way i'm impressed.
for the grits, they are like gritty porridge lol it is corn based. try a little less water so they come out thicker salt,pepper, and shredded cheddar xheese. you can also put cinnamon and sugar in them if you want to try them sweet. I don't love them, but these tips make them more palletable lol
They sent her "Red Eye Gravy and Ham" flavor, so I doubt cinnamon and sugar would go well LOL

P.s. Did you know you put the mug with gel in it in the freezer and it freezes the gel to keep your drink cool? Just checking😊
yeah I'd figured out that was how it works, I'm guessing NC is a hot place, usually in England your drink never warms up
Great video with lots of yummy treats! Make sure you only hand wash your mug. If you put it in the dishwasher, the high heat melts the gel and ruins the ability to freeze and keep your mojitos colder. 🍹🍹

Are the crisps you're thinking of Discos? They were popular in Spain in the early-mid 90s, and we had them here in the UK too
I've had discos before but they weren't them. I was actually in Spain 2 weeks ago and had them but forgot their name. They're just a plain potato chip but REALLY crunchy
When you make the grits (if you didn't make then already) put some white cheese in it (American cheese, that's what I use) and put a stick of butter in it.

Alright. If you really want to try grits, I'll send you a bag of them. Not the instant ones. Instant grits are not good. Real grits you cook on the stove in the pot. It's kinda like making oatmeal, process wise. People in the south eat them. I'm from south carolina, and I grew up with them.
But when you eat them, you cook them. Then you put butter in them. A lot of butter, because they're a southern thing. Then you can melt cheese in them, which is the most popular. Some people like bacon crumbled in them. I like tomatoes.

Not all potato chips taste the same tho. So im guessing these have a specific taste;)

it's mostly the texture that makes them unique. texture can affect our perception of taste
these are very different to the potato chips we have over here, they're much thicker with a very specific taste
