You just solve a big problem! ever since i got the pelican lid organiser with the net i wasnt quite sold about them. Probably i didnt research long enough. Anyway i just added this to my amazon wish list and i will purchase it soon. Thank you so much this option seems to be the best one for the peli 1510!
100% agree. Now buying my 2nd Pelican Air 1535 case. I do like the top foam protection insert which came with my first case, but I need some organization with my second case. My intended contents won't be as fragile and will be safe without the top foam. Thanks for making this great video! I'm still looking around, but this insert is the one I'll probably buy to store smaller items! :)
No problem, Greg! Yeah there's a lot of lid organizer options, and the A-Mode's are still my go-to - they've held up really well getting a lot of use out of my Pelican cases.
So where did you put your laptop? The vid started with you having the problem of your laptop not fitting. Reason I ask is that I'm having the exact same problem. I want a Pelican case but I'm not sure of how to nicely fit a laptop in.
Pretty sure those models intend for you to use velcro backing by default, but you could drill small holes to fit the screws in the raised circular areas.
No problem! I mainly go with Pelican. Haven't used Apache cases, but a video around Nanuk should be coming on the channel eventually (they're also great).
The plastic ones are about 6.25" wide and 5.25" tall, and the big one is around 5" tall and 1 ft wide. I'd say they can probably all hold 1.5-2" deep worth of accessories.
@@andrewsaraceni I appreciate the quick response, and like others said no information is too small to share was looking for this specific video information. Thank you.
Not sure I can help, but if you can't find the specific piece from HPRC directly, you could probably get a generic piece of it and cut it down to size.
I don't know the dimensions of your case, but Pelican also sells the foam sets individually for theirs. So if you find a case of theirs that has dimensions slightly bigger than yours (or the same), you could purchase their foam and cut it. e.g. www.pelican.com/us/en/accessories/cases/foam
I store it in a separate backpack in its laptop bag with dongles, etc. I found it was never really a great use of space even if it did fit in the Pelican, and I can access it easier now if I need it (e.g. if I'm on a flight, or similar).
@@andrewsaraceni I see, that’s a good point, may be I am to used to my lowepro backpack and have everything into one space. But as we getting older, my body is telling me not to walk 6 miles with 16kg on my back
your reason for not wanting to put the laptop in the laptop pouch section seemed a little whack and unreasonable. you said you don't want to put it in there without it's additional case because you put your dongles in there and having them separately is hard to find them in such a large space? that seems bazar to me. seems like it would be easier to store the laptop bare in the lid pouch and have the dongles in one of the other pouches or just in a small bag as you had it. but to each their own I suppose. also the colorcase or pelican branded mesh organizers are actually pretty durable, certainly for holding batteries or cables is not going to cause any issues....I store tools and even scissors in there and its held up. but I do also like this other option you found
It's a preference thing - having the laptop and dongles, power adapter, etc. in one soft bag makes it easier for me to transport, vs. having two or more bags. I use my laptop for more than video work, so I take one case with me everywhere that has everything I need, without having to relocate items, split things up in different compartments, etc.
I picked the 1510SC since I wanted a case that came with a lid organizer of some sort (it didn't have to hold a laptop). I just found it didn't hold my laptop, or larger ones in cases, etc.
Nothing is too small to share. It might be significant to others👍
💯
if it meant something to you-- likely it means something to others! thank you for posting

I carry the laptop separately in a backpack, at this point. I found there were better uses for the space in my Pelican cases.
Great video, thank you!!!
No problem, Patrick!
Thanks man! Great video. Really helped me out in figuring out which way to go. 👍🏻👍🏻
No problem Michael, glad it helped!
Good vid man, keep the reviews of "the little things" coming! Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub, will do!
My pelican air 1535 has no screw holes. How do you go about install? Can't find any information on this

Thank You Andrew Bro
Hey, you're welcome!! And thanks for making a great product; I'm glad I was able to come across it.
Thanks for the info, I didn't know about the other options. Do you have any info on Apache or Nanuk, or do you only stick with Pelican? Thanks!

Thanks for this video, really helpful!
No problem, Alex!
Hi do you know if this organiser is compatible with the Nanuk 935?
Good question, yes this particular model does work with the Nanuk 935 as well.
Great to know
What are the dimensions of the pockets?

How has it held up
Still in excellent shape after all this time, they're really solid.

I am looking for 3.7 cm Polyurethane Pad base foam for my HPRC camera case. I can’t find the right one. Could anyone help me with this please?

there is no option to add to cart .... do u know why ?
I had to click the "See All Buying Options" button to be able to purchase it from A-MoDe, since it's not sold from Amazon directly.

This doesn’t seem to solve your laptop issue (??)
I ended up transporting the laptop separately. They have other dividers that would fit it well though.
