All due respect to Kageyama, and he is a great singer, *nobody* beats Isao Sasaki at a song he himself first sang. Many have tried, *none* have succeeded.
When the singers are fatherly figure, singing with commanding and respectable voice. Someone we can look up onto. Now most male singers are high-pitch with earrings, long hairs, and soft bone.
Wonder if Isao ever thought a theme song ge did for a giant robot anime would be getting people (including a certain 6 year old kid whose uncle had a video store with dubbed Getter Robo episodes in the 90's) hype so many years later. God bless this man. God bless all these folks.

Ricordo bene che ero in salotto con il mio babbo e guardavamo insieme la prima puntata su Rai 2! Poi mio padre continua a dirmi che per lui il preferito è Gundam...e chi può dargli torto??? Ma anche lui, che a quei tempi era + giovane di quanto lo sia adesso io stesso, è stato u appassionato di goldrake...dopo Gundam ovviamente!
La sua voce piena di passione ha accompagnato la mia infanzia e mi ha regalato emozioni uniche, che ancora adesso mi riempiono il cuore! Uomo di un’eleganza straordinaria, come non c’è ne sono più… riposa in pace e grazie!
