Jackson County, Tennessee

A visit to Jackson County, Tennessee is like taking a step back in time. In this video, we stop first at Faye's Cafe for a good country breakfast with some locals in Gainesboro, followed by a stroll around the town square. Next, we visit the county archives and veterans memorial. From there, we enjoy a great lunch at Helen's Restaurant, which has been operating since 1987. Then, we drive to historic Granville, where the past has been turned into a very impressive museum that serves as a way forward for the town. Granville's many exhibits highlight what life was like in the years gone by, while providing a very rewarding visit. We end the day with a visit to the popular Cummins Falls State Park and hiking to the bottom of the falls.
