Baroque shaped horses like the Andalusian, Lipizzaner, and Friesian have straighter shoulder angles, causing the horse to naturally pick it's feet up more. The movement can be made more extravagant by the horse using it's hind end correctly to take weight off the front legs, allowing higher action. I own a young Lipizzaner who is still just being ridden for about 3 minutes at a time, his trot in the pasture is so much like this. Naturally high, naturally big. This Andalusian has something called an Anti rhythm at the trot, like Totillas. That's not a good sign, but could just be uneven riding.
Onyx Friesian Dressage That too. I'm trying to explain it to all of the "It's Abuse!" People out there. I own a Lippizanner and a quarterhorse going through the same training. Both are doing great.
well most people that do the spanish riding and techniques..abuse their horses.sadly...soo we dont know or cant be sure when the horse hasnt been abused (the spanish are good at hiding things..)
