Very nice review. I recently bought the D5 Pro amp that is a DartZeel clone. While this amp runs hot it sounds extremely high end…. I had a Goldmund Telos and I would say that it rivals this amp. I now need a good pre amp to match. Thanks for the review.

I though it might be helpful: This preamplifier circuit reference Germany MBL6010D, full-balanced design, consistent with origianl MBL6010D circuit, buffered input,use more high-end components. Extremely low noise, low distortion, the AP test 0-100k frequency response is straight. so that the density of the sound is very fresh, sound increases strongly. I've tried all the Opa´s, the best ones are: 10 x Signetics OPA 5534AN and 4 x OPA OPA2228PA Burr Brown, super clean sound, and beautiful mids with punchy basses. Pre-amp Weiliang 6010D, XLR to DAC, Monos NCore 400, SMSL M300 DAC-XLR, PC Intel Nuc I3, Speakers ASW Genius 510. Forget Opa627 from China, forget OPA 2134, forget AD797...
The clone hi-end hifi set a smart marketing: mostly they look and build good. The clone buyer won’t buy a real one, the real one user won’t bother to try china clone. So nobody can tell the AB sound difference. It will be great if they do sound “like” the real one.
I understand where you are coming from but based on your listening experience you can tell whether a product sounds fantastic or not. It's a win, win for you based on the price you pay for cloned high end stuffs. I am a believer!
In China you can find some factories that can accept some small orders, they can produce as long as you can design drawings, and even copy iPhone, some youtube found a lot of interesting products in Shenzhen The reason why Chinese manufacturers do not produce so many high-end products is that the main obstacle is the Western patent licensing system. Although some products can be copied by Chinese manufacturers, they cannot be legally sold without authorization. For example, chips from inter or nvdia can be cloned by some Chinese manufacturers, but commercial applications need to develop their own patented technologies. Western manufacturers pay too much money to top managers and developers, resulting in inflated product prices The industry needs competitors, and western products need Chinese products to join the competition, just like the competition between inter and amd in the 1990s

True…a clone has to have the same or 95% the outside looks of the original. Plus it has to look the same on the inside - also technically …just like an (almost) identical twin! Other than that to me it’s no clone

Reminds me of FM Acoustic clone ? Balance is 4db higher gain, single ended is 10db down…so when you use balance it will be higher.

I also got this pre-amp last year. Swap out the NE5534 with some better ones like AD797, it just sounds sweet on voice and powerful on classical music
