  • Join John T. "Ronnie" Floyd, a member of the Waccamaw Indian People, in this two-part series of indigenous hunting, fishing, and cooking practices from long ago. In this video, Ronnie discusses advances in hunting equipment, trap setting, and the use of materials that were used by Native people in South Carolina such as soapstone. It's also important to note that Ronnie has over 20 years of experience in hunting and fishing training and he serves as a game warden for the state of South Carolina.
We would like to say a special thank you to Chief Hatcher, Vice Chief Cail, Ronnie Floyd, and all participating members of the Waccamaw Indian People for allowing CMA to share these sacred practices with our constituents.
