Sad face! This is now only a PRO plan option, I guess. BUT! I'm so glad I found this tutorial. Thanks so much for this information. There was a bit of a learning curve on how to connect my IG to my Page (Facebook really doesn't make it easy deciphering how to connect things... I had to try multiple ways to get them to connect, because I would get error messages on pages that would have simply solved the problem!). Glad I got things figured out with your tutorial! 😊

Ok I set it up. So glad I did because I posted a video today and told ppl to comment to get a free posing tips guide and I have 200+ requests that keeps growing. I didn’t expect that many. 😮I would have been manually sending a dm all day. I have to do about 50 manually that occurred before I set up the automation.
I did have a question. Did IG say anything about this platform being approved by them to not have any bans for using it
So glad I discovered this. new subscriber thank you, will it consider the first post even if it come from a Dm collab reels off another feed? Will it identify it as a first post? Also some of the format changed since you uploaded this video so , my platform looks different - I'm still able to follow along but just thought to let you know, I'm going to give it a try on a campaign tomorrow but want to make sure it will be working ok

Thanks for this helpful video! From what I can tell, the only way to create an automation with ManyChat's free version is to use an already published post or reel in IG. Setting the automation up for the "next post/reel" is only available for PRO users. Do you know of a work around? It just doesn't make sense to have to publish the post/reel first, and then immediately scramble to create the automation so that people to don't start commenting the keyword before the automation is activated. Hopefully I'm missing something here!
I do not believe there is a work around! But, you can go ahead and set up the draft of the automation to have ready. Then, post your reel & publish the draft at roughly the same time! It's a little tedious, but we have done it before!

The free plan will work for DMs, not comment replies!

It depends on if you've selected all posts, specific post or next post for your automation! To make sure the automation is working for a past post, I would recommend selecting "specific post" and attaching the automation to it!
Will it message people who have already commented on an old post in the past (when you select specific post) or just the new ones after you add the automation?

Hello dear ,there is an limit of 1000 contact or auto reply in the many chat in free version, how can I solve this because in free version there is and 15 days trial.
Thanks for video!!! we have a specific post that runs an automation, however, some people don't get any replies/DMs after commenting the specific word needed. I'm not sure what's wrong. I checked our keywords and also added new ones to make sure.
I've heard this from someone else - if it's a DM automation, some accounts have a setting where they cannot receive DMs from people they don't follow (I think), which would prevent the automation from working!
This also happened to me
i did setup these flows ( comment on reels ) but i made an ads for this specific post. The autamation seems not working 😅
Someone just asked me how I got my reply to come to her inbox automatically. I sent her your video link 😂😂

Thank you for walking us through this! HUGE question if you know the answer: every time it sends a link, that person gets put in our DMs. This means we have hundreds of DMs to scroll through on a daily basis (thousands if we don't check Instagram every day) looking for people that replied to the DM. Is there a way to ensure only people who messaged go to our DM, rather than automatically everyone that got the link sent to them by us?

Yes, the comment reply is a paid feature! The DM trigger is free!

When creating separate delivery messages (with different links), you'll need to create an entirely new automation!
Thank you for your video! I have been using this Manychat automation to share links with my audience via DM for about a month now and it's been a game changer for driving more traffic to my links and offers. However, I am curious if there is a way to "follow up" or send a new message "blast" to the same group of people who previously opted in to an automation and received a certain link. For example, I had one automation that shared a podcast episode, and I would like to address those who listened to the episode to let them know that Part 2 dropped this week. IS that possible? Like, can I address that same group of people again in real time somehow? Would love a video on this!
Here's what I would do! When you send your initial link, have them "opt-in" to your list. On the back end, create a tag for that group. Then, you can send an email to that specific group!

Hi, Daniel! Do you mean to the same user? I have not run into this issue! If you mean across different videos - one of the paid options on Manychat is to attach your automation to a specific post!

I have been searching for this I hope I can figure out how to ensure it publishes to my reel since I am trying the free account can you do a video showing how it will work with publication using free account.

Thanks for the tutorial. Very helpful. It seems to me the automatic DM works best if you only plan to send the same link to anyone who commented on your post every time. What if I need to send a different link each time, depending on the post? How would you go around this? Thanks so much.
In that case, I would create a single website page with different link options the user can choose from!
Or, have different automations with different trigger words!

Hey😄I used premium, i am not sure if the free version works for this if i gotta be honest but i was using premium already. You can find out I think by looking at the manychat settings in the bot you are building (all the features that need premium have that written next to it) @@mystiquetechsolutions
Do you know if this works with any type Ig account or does it need to be a business account? Also will this work if there is a collaborator on the reel?
I believe it will work on any account, but I recommend having a creator account! Not sure about how it works with collaborators, though!

It's always on unless turned off, or, if you're using the free version, you hit your automation limit!

Stephanie...I have a question. I set up a Flow to respond to a comment and added a DM. I entered my text and a link to my Funnel. When I open that link, IG has stripped away the last part of the URL that takes someone to my funnel. Any suggestions on what is wrong?
So, the link is correct in your MC template, but incorrect when you test it in the app? That seems odd! Try creating a new automation!

If you're using the template linked below the video, the flow is already created for you!

It is safe, yes!
Possibly - but we have not seen any issue with this!
Do you need separate automation if the link will be different for each post or reel, or is there a way to pull the URL in any way for that specific post or reel?
If your delivery message & link differ at all - make a new automation! If it's the same, you can create different triggers and specific posts within one single automation.

The actual automation limit is really high for the free plan! It will limit how you can trigger the automation - I believe the free version only offers a DM option.
Hey, I need help please,I set up my automation. Worked first time, but hasn’t worked since. I deleted and did it again still no luck. Thought it maybe because I was using the FREE so upgraded to pro. Checked that I was connected and I am, and that the trigger is turned on. But still not working 😢
Did it only work one time or multiple times on a single post? Have you selected a different post in your subsequent automations?

if the manychat is triggered by commenting a kay word, they would only get a reply if they included your key word in their comment!

You can only have a few active at a time with the free plan! The pro plan has unlimited automations! 🎉

Triggering an automation with a comment is a paid feature, but you could switch to the DM option for free!

Users MUST comment your trigger word or DM you your trigger word in order to start your manychat automation. Following you will not trigger the automation!
Can you show us how to do a follow-up? For example, the trigger keyword sends them a freebie. But I want to send a second automated message if they send me another message.
In the first message, have them opt-in to your email list and add a specific tag! Then, follow up with an email! Engaged email subscribers is the goal!!
