Yo your channel is so underrated. You're super informative and you go straight to the point. Quickly you've become one of my favourite dst content creators!
I think its fine if spamming whistle will be fixed cause it still is a really strong buff that is pretty situational, since, well, wolfgang can hit things very hard already and coaching wastes time :D Also wanna add that skill trees like this seem pretty good, they are all pretty simple, mostly just made to spice up character playing and add new strategies, like, wolfgang had all those dumb bells he could throw and that was only useful for like, killing birds? Now he can try it out with new bells! Or just get himself more power and not think about it if he wants to, same story as dumbells with whistle.
Interesting, Wolfgang is definitely not the character who needed a buff-ability this powerful, but for how specific and situational it is it think its fine, hopefully wigfrid gets a comparable buff that's weaker but last longer since it would be a song. Or she could just get a song that makes people do lightning damage that works too.
@@thewitchidolsachika6682 it would be interesting to see if they ad songs that take up multiple song slots since as of now all of them take 1 or have a cooldown. I doubt crafting it would be particularly expensive but this could be a way of balancing it.
@@BeastnodeG I'm guessing the intent was to give Wolfgang some team play and to make him ever so slightly more complex. alternatively it could be to incentivize more players to stay normal which coincides with the skill right underneath this one.
I play with friends and we always went Wurt, Wigfrid, Maxwell and Wolfgang Before this update Wolfgang was just tanking, he had NO synergy Now we have absolutely strong merms with x2 damage, wigfrid helmets and bosses can't even reach them
So to always have the buff active: 1. First Whistle: After 7 seconds, Wolfgang's motivation/clap starts 1st Buff. 2. 3 seconds after start of 1st Buff: Deactivate/activate for the 2nd Whistle. After 7 seconds (when 1st Buff ends), 2nd Buff starts. 3. From then on, you only have to Whistle (deactivate/activate) every 10 seconds since the last Whistle. (A mod to toggle auto-doing this would be great!)
Rooks work pretty weird if they just ram smth they do 200 dmg but if he uses his targeted atack they do 45 damage also the player is imune to that 200 dmg because it would be too op
Pretty sure the reason damaged rook is sometimes only doing 90 dmg with coaching buff is because the rooks actually have a melee swing (which I learnt the hard way while fooling around as maxwell) which does significantly less damage, that’s why without the buff sometimes the rook just does 45 instead of 200dmg and why it sometimes does 90 instead of 400. I’ll admit rook’s melee swing is definitely a bit finicky in when it decides to perform it, you didn’t break the rook with the coaching whistle
Thats a good thought but i don't think thats the case. The 45 damage the rook does is supposed to be player only while mobs take 200 damage Its kind of like how bosses do double damage to mobs but in reverse
That tends to be only half though. And I know for a fact that rooks have a melee swing. All of em. It’s most noticeable on the AG but you’ll see the damaged rooks and regular ones do it too, it’s just harder to tell because it looks like they charged for a half second. I’ve only seen it do a melee when I get cocky trying to swing it too much, or if I’m standing directly in front of it.
he can only get like 750 on plannar creatures using the whole goat jelly too. But the fact he can get all creatures to do double damage its much more damage than he can get by himself.

I really liked both wolf and woodies skilltre to the point I consider them almost perfectly balanced in power and viability. To be honest, the one i waited the most is wormwood, to find it not THAT great. Some upgrades feel redundant and a bit weird cosidering his focus on farming. I believe the fertilizers could be upgraded to restore an actual useful skill like come on 2 per manure? and it takes forever to do the animation, I think it sould be good enough to actually provide an alternative to sleeping, his lunar afinitty is cool but I dont really see necessary to give him combat based abilities since most players wont be focusing in combat and the summons are quite worse than the natural mobs. The carrats do not give leafy meat, the lightbug die over time and cannot be catched or released to light up the base like natural ones asn well they can be killed easily by other mobs, and saladmanders dont appear to be appealing allies like wicker bees, spiders or merms and i think he needs to craft stone fruit (because hes from the moon duh) the fly trap skill is useless and the bee upgrade should make killer bees neutral to you and let you harvest honey from natural bee hives and built ones with no bees annoying you.
