Fundamental electronics: Analog, Digital
Digital IC design, Computer Architecture, Verilog, Overview of VLSI Physical Design, Testing and Verification aspects, Low power vlsi would be enough for internship roles.

But, in my college VLSI companies came but they take only few students....
So if applied in off-campus what should be expected salary for freher and what is the procedure????

Like in my college very few companies came for VLSi Background ... So my question is when there is an opening from VLSI companies, like from when we can expect the openings....

You will find openings in career pages of respective companies or LinkedIn and few other sites also list them.
Best way to apply is:
1. Find the job id matching your skills.
2. Ask someone from that company to refer you
3. Fill the form and wait for call
