Viking brothers are my favorites... they remind me of Ragnar and Rollo... Eric is very smart with good heart and Sigfried is hot-headed and ruthless

Not Bjorn from Vikings. And last episode, not Rollo from Vikings. And the old Ragnar was not the Ragnar from Vikings. This show started with the invasion of Ubba and Guthrum on first season. Those are the Ubba and Guthrum from Vikings. Ubba Lothbrok he is referred to on this show. And he has a brother, Ivarr the Boneless. He is mentioned in the books, but not in the show so much. So this story takes place after Ragnar's (from vikings) death. After the sons take vegeance on Northumbria and Wessex. During the reign of Alfred. Who here, unlinke in Vikings, rises to power when his older brother dies.
Guthrum wasnt the same character.. smh
@Reshi One year ago when I made this comment, I thought he would be. Guthrum was a famous viking jarl who raided with Ragnar's sons. I thought Vikings was setting it up. They weren't, as it turns out.
@Reshi Guthrum in Vikings is Bjorn's step son. He is the son of Jarl Borg and Torvi.

I Think the time jump is because they are trying to follow the books. And if im right, they time jump in the books alot, since there is like 12 books and one or two more to come. I love that pacing with TLK, you'll not be dissapointed, it gets better and better
@Just a Man Trying To Learn I've actually only read three and heard some audio versions which sometimes i prefer. But to be honest im gonna read it all over again since it was a long time ago.
Bernard Cornwell is actually a very good author and his books has been praised as one of the master storytellers in historical fiction today. He is even admired by George R.R Martin (The author of Game of throne books). He says: "Bernard Cornwell does the best battle scenes of any writer I’ve ever read, past or present.”
They are actually very good especially his way of telling all the battle stories, they are amazing and they are easy to read in my opinion.
I really suggest you to check them out since the show doesn't capture it all (which is understandable).
I think there are 10 books out, and if im not mistaken Bernard has confirmed two more are coming out to conclude Uthreds story.

It’s 11 books out know and it will most likely end with the 14th. The books are awesome, book 5 and 6 differ a lot more from season 3 though than the first for from the seasons 1&2.
And yes, the time jumps appeared in the books so they had no choice. The fourth book is the book where the series starts to shift more towards the other main character next to Uhtred and Alfred (don’t wanna spoil who). Probably also the first one where Uhtred acts quite wise😂...
Cation It also makes sense in terms of the time period. Things took time to get done, messages took a long time to arrive, etc.
the reason why half way through each season feels like the finally is because they adapt 2 books per season

If it was real and not a trick then it would have been a big change for the show because the supernatural stuff so far have never been too crazy so it was always ambiguous whether they were real.

i guess "ragnar , bjorn , & rollo" , is a very common name to the vikings , maybe like " john , michael & jack" in the U.S
Many British names today are from the Vikings, even towns and roads names stayed. Names like Emma, Erica, Kelsey, Sandy, Shelby, Bill, Corey, Dustin, Erik, Harald, Oliver etc etc are all Viking/English names and probably spread to the U.S through migration and Britian colonizing America.
