I can’t wear heels 3 inches or taller, I think because my feet are so short, the steeper footbed angle (?) gives me unbearable arch pain. But, up to that limit, I always wear the highest heel that will be reasonably comfortable for my day’s activities (I always have sneakers and socks in my car trunk, as I did in my office before retiring, just in case unexpected extra walking is required. I always remembered how my late-working colleagues had to walk down 31 stories after the Loma Prieta earthquake - for once I was already on my outbound commute bus on time). It makes such a difference, even an 1.5 to 2.5-inch heel really makes me look a lot better-proportioned. Great petite styling tips❤

(I have sound sensitivity and was a viewer of all videos, until this editing change) I lasted 2 minutes this video. Thats an improvement for me. I know with UA-cam and editing it’s become a thing! But it’s so much louder than even the sound of your voice the mic picks up! 😏 I might be the only one that it bothers, but I look back at where I can see I watched every UA-cam video, of yours and the view count on them are much higher. I’m not sure if it has anything to do with the newer fad and editing style, or if it’s completely unrelated, and I’m the only one that it bothers, but just an observation I made❤
There’s two types of petites. Short leg long torso. Short torso long legs. When I try on high waisted pants and skirts their up to my ribs. So hard to dress.
Ugh I know what you mean!! I’m long torso and short legs so it’s a struggle on this petite side too 🥲
I'm the third variety - a balanced leg/torso ratio. Not that it makes it any easier, at 5'1" there's not much real estate to go round, and tucking my pants under my bra strap isn't my best look.
I’m the relatively long-legged type, and it isn’t easy. Rises always too high, everything too low-cut, hips and shoulders enormous, busts too small, made for flat chests like men’s. Clothes all seem cut for 6-foot plus, large-framed, but emaciated size 0 models these days, with 20-inch waists. Like many petites, I just never had the torso length for a very-defined waist, I can’t even get one finger between my high-set hipbones and low-set rib-cage. There’s no vertical room at all for my torso to narrow. I always wanted a 12-inch smaller waist than my hips, as brands are designed for, but it’s never going to happen until they find a way to stretch our torsos! Bust darts make a big difference, but most brands have just dropped this expensive, proper tailoring, adopting the simpler for them, but disastrous for us, oversized “trend”, ugh!

Sorry, but that gray blazer really needs a good pressing or steaming. That big crease is probably not apparent in ambient light, but photography lights show every little thing! This happens to me a lot, I have very poor light in my bedroom, then when I go out or snap a flash photo, I can see every little flaw I missed. I thought you might want to know because you’re on camera a lot, and of course, you want your outfits to look their best anyway, as we all do🙂
