Tried to resist picking up the box set. Key word is tried, failed miserably.
Ahahah yep
Me too it’s okay
Striking Scorpion paint, seen in 3D like that, is exactly how I want to paint my languishing orcs from the Dominion box set. That looks fantastic!
Glad to hear pal.
Looks great. That moot green turned out to be perfect. Never collected Eldar but I've always liked the different aspect warriors.
Thanks pal. Ye I was happy with the tone. And that’s my main love of eldar. Getting to paint so many different schemes in one army.
I bought a couple of combat patrols and boarding patrols (before their prices went insane) just to paint. Eldar make great models to try different paint techniques, sadly I lost my whole Iyanden army before I could play it. Great models and contrasts work AWESOME on them the way Andy does it.
Looks absolutely amazing ! Cant wait to get my hands on them to paint them up !
Ye there a lot of fun.
It is a brilliant facet of the GW hobby that the same model can be painted in different ways while representing the same colour scheme and not invalidating either style.
Very true
Sounds like you need an Eldari weeks to catch up on the "left behind" ones. That would be awesome!
Not a bad idea at all and yes indeed.
Absolutely stoked for this one.
Glad to hear.
Very nice. Love it
Thank you! Cheers!
Love it looks great
Thanks pal.
Great video. I really appreciate your videos and style.
To kind pal. Thank you.
Excellent video as always 👌
Appreciate it pal.
omg don't scare me like that, sitting her trying to get one of my ears to pop and your sound drops down in last 30 seconds or so, thought I had lost the good ear. Lovely Scorpion mate.
Hahahahah sorry pal.
This was really great work Andy! The model looks fantastic with the colors and layering. Thanks for sharing this.
Anytime pal. Glad you like it.
Cheers Andy! Merry Christmas pal 👍🏼
Merry Christmas pal.
I think the older name for Moot Green used to be Scorpion Green, so it’s perfect for these! Nice Job!
It was indeed.
Love the designs, they look fantastic! I've started looking at fantasy Scorpions for some color ideas
Great video as always Andy
Ohhh that sounds amazing.
Looks cool
Thanks.
Very nice dude 👌 I might have to invest in some striking scorpion green
It’s a great colour!
I love the vibrant, vivid greens you used. So nice to look at. Great job. Btw, I never thought to apply a metallic paint as a base for lenses. Thanks for giving me that idea. I'm going to try it out asap.
Love to hear that, thanks man
I still have one of my original metal striking scorpion. I've pre ordered these and look forward to getting them and starting an eldar army. Love the vibrant green so can't wait to try this on my squad.
Aw that’s so cool, glad you like it, and hope you enjoy painting them!
great vid, would be great to see your basing process - look really effective!
It’s linked in the description!
you thought of everything ! ... legendary Im subscribed @@MediocreHobbies
Since the entire stock at GW was bought empty by scalpers today, who would profit from a painting tutorial for the Salvation Set...??? 😂😂😂
Hahahahhaa
Pleased with the moot green. It's such a great colour. He turned out great 👍 I'm sure there will be plenty of time to get the other Aspect Warriors done when the codex appears on the roadmap, but another 4 on a stream in the new year? 🎉
Heheh yep.
Nice
Cheers pal.
What I was going to do was grey seer primer, dry brush warp stone green, highlight dry brush moot green, nuln oil, then the little details.
Tag me if you do then I’m curious how they turn out.
Looks fantastic, wish they were coming out sooner! (Probably for the best, still haven't finished my LI box.....)
Hahahah yep. Hope it’s not to long.
Funny how the Scorpion is a brand new sculpt but it still has a grenade on its belt despite the fact that they don't carry them in the rules anymore.
Hahahaha fair point.
Great video as always Andy and another excellent mini for you collection. I have one question please, when they were first teased there seemed to be a little negativity going around about the sculpts and the fact their mono pose and nearly all standing on tactical rocks, now I know you said you only built the one but from the instructions what do you think of them as a set? Do you think they’re a nice kit that you can build and convert a little?
I love the kit and all the models have like 3 optional builds. So you can indeed have quite a few different poses. I love this kit. Wouldn’t change a thing.
Aw that’s great news, thanks as always for taking the time to reply@@MediocreHobbies
The question I do have is, with the new look website, where do you get the 360 view of models? Because the last time I looked, all of those views disappeared.
There mostly back now.
can I ask for the contrast paints what type of brushes do you use ? wash/glaze brush or other ... Im not experienced with these paint types but feel inspired to give this a go for myself.
I use medium and small layer brushes mostly. There my favourite.
These look great! I'm still pretty new to the hobby and i have probably a beginner question about this video. About your primers, did you use both or is it a recommandation for Chaos black OR Grey Seer?
It’s both! A full coat of black, and then a lighter coat of grey seer from above. ua-cam.com/video/51Hx1uTmtSw/v-deo.htmlsi=yxq2f42YKKERheHx
@@MediocreHobbies Thanks for the reply and the video!
I have a question about priming this one: by "dusting" do you mean dry brushing the model with greyseer? I'm painfully new to the hobby.
No it’s using another spray can so a black spray forts to get a full coat and then a dusting from above and the sides with a light grey. This leave the underside in shadow. So the contrast paints will work better.
@@MediocreHobbies Thanks, all clear now :)
It’s not easy being green the eldar probably
Hahahah fair.
Nice 1 andy, any small small chance of a salamander scout tutorial? :D Know its probably no hope
also what would u use for an edge highlight on the moot green if you were doing parade rather than gaming?
Not rite now but I myself want a salamander army at some stage so. When that happens you will be sick of my videos lol
