As in so many modern updates to the staging of opera in these times, this production demeans the intent of the artists who created the original art. Moreover, visually, the staging is stupid and negates the mystery intended in presenting ancient cultures.
absolutely agree. I really like music and vocals, they are amazing, but those updates are just modern-for-modern, without any sense. They don´t respect original, they don´t look for a new sense, they just need to shock. I thought it is Survivor, not an opera.
Послушал арию Надира здесь и в исполнении российских певцов Собинова, Лемешева, Пищаева, Корчака. Надо признать, что исполнение российских певцов на голову выше.
Rian à dire contre la partie musicale, mais ne vous payez donc pas notre tête avec le côté "vidéo"! 'est fait par des garnements en manque d'inspiration, voulant énerver leurs parents.Pourquoi n'utilisez-vous pas les indications scéniques de Bizet. Il savait ce qu'il voulait et nous devons nous y conformer. Vous passerait-il par la tête de changer le texte ou la musique?
Ici Monsieur je ne peux pas que vous comprendre très bien pour être en tout d'accord avec vous car tout est raté dans ce spectacle qui se veut en plus un manifeste politico-social moderne! sauf le rôle de Leila chanté par une jeune soprano roumaine de grand talent avec une voix sublime, un beau legato et un vibrato assez bien maîtrisé ainsi que sa technique de belcanto ! l'orchestre est assez bien ainsi que le choir !Dommage que la célèbre romance du Nadir est si bien ratée par un ténor colérique impulsif et sans voix ou talent de scène ( il passé peut-être par la par hasard avant d’être pris dans ce spectacle, par un metteur en scène très marginal et a la limite de la "névrose" artistique moderne )et le baryton il est encore pire comme voix et talent artistique de scène ! Dommage pour cet opéra unique et inégalable si souvent raté car mal compris, que Bizet l'a voulu avec un message de fraternité et d'amitié sincère qui va jusqu'au sacrifice par amour !
Totul e ratat în acest spectacol ce se vrea în plus un manifest politico-social - totul în afara rolului Leila jucat admirabil de o sopranâ de mare talent Cristina Pâsâroiu care are o voce rarâ si sublimâ un frumos legato si un vibrato ffff bine stâpânit toate în buchet alâturi de un talent nativ de mare valoare artisticâ si o muncâ intensâ pentru a fi asa cum se meritâ pe scenâ cu cele mai mari voci de operâ ale prezentului ! ce pâcat câ tenorul ne sparge urechile cu o voce colericâ si fârâ talent de scenâ sau de belcanto, ca si baritonul doar corul si orchestra mai aduc ceva frumos în acest spectacol în care adevâratii iubitori de operâ dacâ nu plâng pârâsesc sigur sala dupâ romanta lui Nadir ratatâ cu succes de tenor!

Encore une lecture qui se veut contemporaine ! Horreur, la télé-réalité mise en scène ici n'apporte rien . Faire gesticuler Leïla dans tous les sens n'a aucun intérêt. Heureusement que sa voix sauve le spectacle ! Dommage cette "perle " musicale mérite un vrai metteur en scène !
If we could stop inflicting singers with horrible, pretentious, “avant-garde” stagings such as this, it’d be great. Overcomplicating things and totally derailing the work from what actually happens doesn’t help the unfamiliar public to understand a work that sometimes isn’t even in their native language.
