Most Hip Hop DJ's were Disco Dj's lol. In fact. Disco people taught Fab 5 Freddy and bamabaata the music business and helped them market Hip Hop to the world because they loved it so much. He was a little too dismissive toward the concept of FBA's, or at least that's how it was interpreted. Yes, the people at the forefront of FBA are charlatans and kooks, I don't disagree with that. But the term itself is just referring to the people who are descendants of blacks who came here hundreds of years ago and have a distinct historical background. Joe might wonder, what's the point of distinguishing between so-called FBA and others? If so, he should've been gracious enough to ask the question and allow black people to answer before he commented on it.
