    I have a 2003 and it seems they don’t sell the assembly, just the bearing. Maybe I just need to keep searching.
    Great video, thanks for the info. As someone else said looks relatively straight forward

    Ryan- the only part that I suggest is to use a torque wrench when tightening the axle nut and caliper mounts. With years of breaking bolts to start, learning how to remove broken bolts, then learning how to use a torque wrench to properly tighten the fastener, and working on everything from radio control helicopters to airliners, getting it tight is essential. And purple gloves look sexy in videos! Great camera work!

      could be life saving to torque bolts

      How much does one have to spend to get a real and good quality torque wrench that's capable of torquing things like calipers and or spark plugs?....
      There's one I'm eyeing at Harbor Freight but it's only $20 does something like 7-20 lbs torque

    What a great video, thank you so much for your help. I have limited mechanical knowledge was was able to replace the wheel bearings myself on my 2015 RDX. The only additional thing I needed was a hub puller to remove them, they were stuck pretty bad.
    Than you again Ryan.

    Thank you for this video, was trying to diagnose a noise on my tl after replacing my rotors calipera and pads, and at 5:20 when you pulled out the old bearing compared to the new one I recognized the sound and cringed 😂 must have messed something up

    Best DYI auto repair video I've ever seen. BRAVO! I do have a question though. My rear axle has noise only when apply brakes, not while driving. Could the bearing behave that way?

    This was excellent! I hope you can find time to answer this. For first generation, the hub and bearing are NOT assembled in one piece correct? Mine is a 2002. Having a hard time finding info. Wish I could do it this way but I'm afraid that knuckle will have to come out and bearing presses out/in. Thanks!

    Do you have to do anything to reseat the axle on the hub end when reinstalling?

    • @MrRyanAnderson
      @MrRyanAnderson  4 роки тому

      The axle just pushed into the new hub as shown at 6:50 and then when you tighten the axle nut that should snug it up the rest of the way.

      @@MrRyanAnderson Sorry if I was being pedantic. I learned the hard way never to put any grease on bolts related to brakes, they tend to vibrate and come loose. But I would always lightly grease a spline. If they rust, then near impossible to break loose with all that surface area.
