Your video is some 15 years old. I was wondering how you rate the 7400 today. I like that nearly every adjustment is on a front panel control. I ask because one of these has come up used at a reasonable price, but would I be better stretching to the 7300 radio? Great videos by the way.
I would buy this radio again as it has nice receiver and VHF band SSB. For this time it was modern tranaceiver 😃😃 It has some bugs like backlight burn, or with the PA preamplifier issues. All those issues can be easily fixed. 👍
Hello, I am new to the world of CB radio (11m - 27MHZ band). I bought a decametric radio blindly for €500. Its owner has always used it on the Cibi 11m 27MHz band. I just realized that I bought a rare and famous decametric radio, the ICOM IC-7400. Are there carrying handles or a protective shield to transport it or a special ICOM case for this model? I intend to properly install two 40mm Noctua fans at the back of the ICOM IC-7400. Radio amateurs tell me that these 2 fans will generate QRM. Do you have any feedback on this? Best regards 73'!
