Skwala RS Wader Review - Kelly Galloup's Favorite Waders

- The Skwala RS Wader is the most comfortable and EASIEST wader on the market to take off. Kelly's been in this wader for about 2 months now and is completely sold on them. They've got zippers and pockets like competitors, what sets this wader apart is the fourchette seam design. This means the legs contour to your body meaning your range of motion isn't restricted by the wader. The ability to simply step out of them is unparalleled in the market.

Thanks for the video’s. I wanted a 6wt to keep with me in my truck. Ordered an echo traverse kit from your shop. First time out with it was a blast. Really like it.
I have the Traverse 6wt, and I LOVE IT 😎👍🏻
I’m 59 and know full well what your talking about Kelly. I recently bought a pair of Orvis Pro bootfoot waders and love them as there super easy to get in and out of and durable as hell. However climbing up and out of a rough incline is tough due to my lack of flexibility in the knee area. I’m super fit for my age but age is what it is grr. Very interesting reviewed thanks Kelly.
Hi Kelly, I'm looking for a new pair of waders and these look like the ones I would go for, I've messaged Skala to see if they have any shops in the UK that stock them..ATB Davie
Love the Skwala gear!!! From their pol wading pants for wet wading to these waders in the video. They are great products, I don’t give a shit how much they cost, as long as a product works!!!!! I hate junk!!!!
Thank you. Helpful and down-to-Earth.
Mr. Galloup you should do a series on your approach of the different river you have fished. Id love to hear a segment on the PM in michigan.
I was fine getting into waders at 45 … 60 is a different story.
Truth be told, no wader should cost that much. This rise in price from all the major brands hurts this industry so much. It’s pathetic profit.
Keep wearing your old ones. Buy some AquaSeal and keep your old ones going or the 2-400 pairs around longer.
Agree.
I mean paying $300-1000(!) and it only last 2-4 years? Are you kidding me....
800 bucks for waders? Best pair of waders i've ever owned were 40 dollars. The 500 dollar Redingtons I have now started leaking like a siv after just 3 months.
Thanks for the review. What's your take on the less expensive Skwala version, the Carbon Wader at $500? I could live without the zipper for a $300 savings if the excellent fit you describe was the same. I look forward to another review after you've fished them for a season or two and can comment on durability.
Same fit and "fourchette" technology. Without the zipper. Lighter weight. Great for cold summer mornings
Great video. You had me sold until I saw the price. I guess I'll have to continue to struggle.
Lol- bro, everything is an investment! It's also how serious you are in the gear you are willing to pay. If you are serious about something, you will definitely invest in it. Don't buy junk! I've had Orvis and Simms and these are more affordable and they are great gear for serious trout fishing fanatics!
I’m not a difficult guy to please…. Somebody just make a damn set of waders I can wear for more than 2 seasons without leaking.
I've been wearing my Simm's waders since 2016 which included spending the summer of 2017 fishing Alaska for 4 months. They are still great except they don't have a zipper and are certainly not easy off.
@@johnstaley7114I fish in my simms all season (180 days avg) and have gone through 3 sets of g4's and 3 sets of g3's. Even taking care of them they all eventually leak at the seams.
At $800 I'll Suffer 🤣 and wait for my free set.
You shoot in manual? brave =)
They make some really nice stuff for sure. But when I wear my under wader pants under my Orvis Pro's they come off just like that. So.....Lets see how
they work with just wearing shorts under the waders.
Here just for Dudley. 😅
I hate to say this but for $800 I'll have to keep struggling with my old Simm's waders even though I find the easy on easy off appealing and at almost 70, the zipper even more so.

Are you gonna start selling these??
Jody, we have had them since May and you can find them online here: www.slideinn.com/product/skwala-rs-wader/
Where are these made in?
A factory
That material is noisy, at that price I’ll stick with the G4’s 🎉🎉
G4's are quiet for sure but mine sit hanging at home because of seam leaks...
Nice, but man are they expensive, $800. Pretty pricey for this guy.
Probably gone out of business in 2-5 years
PSA don't google "fourchette" on the ole work computer
Ooops blame skwala
Tell them to make some sizes for us fat guys!
Absolutely useless if they don't make a bootfoot version
what ya got theres a pair of them fancy hipster skinny jean waders.. suprised that brown trout wasnt bigger with the aerodynamics of them bad boys tell you what.
