@@rohneshamhorne It is never too late! I can't begin to tell you how many mistakes I made in dating before I met my husband! And I have so many friends who got married in their late 30s and 40s to amazing people as well! There is always hope! 🙌🏻

Knowing your story and knowing the family I come from of my sisters both having long marriages, all being married at a young age and having beautiful children, my mom at 53 years old losing her husband, my father from death and finding another beautiful man which she was married to until she died. My sister's daughters are beautifully married with beautiful children.. Your story inspired me to try harder at prayer, I wanted to go to a religious retreat this weekend for three days at a convent. How often I just said take me God I am married to you. As I get older and without children or any family members alive and not choosing a convent with a group to support me.. I truly feel saddened by the failure of not being a Proverb 31 woman in any capacity. I can only pray for divine intervention with the Lord Jesus Christ knowing I have struggled every day alone and with only the power of his holy spirit have lived every day of my life. It's obvious God set them up to be together. What were the odds that both of them happen to be believers too? I love how they were just going about the normal lives and met. That's how I want it to be for me. As a single Christian woman myself, I don't want to do online dating or be the pursuer. I want God to arrange my circumstances so that I meet the husband He wants me to have.

Your story is similar to mine. God definitely brought me to my fiancé’ after several failed relationships. Also I am a teacher. My fiancé cooks all meals cleans kitchen and rubs my feet nightly. So many similarities. I am so happy for both of you. I pray Jesus brings love to single people who seek this same type of relationship. Don’t give up! Believe and you shall receive!

I understand the wait....37 and in the wait. This year i decided...I will pray about it but mostly spend time in God's presence, get closer to God. Love on him and do things that brings me happiness. Waiting on a godly man is no joke. I believe that God will bring my husband at the right time.

Honestly, I've lost all hope that God plans for me to ever be married or have any kind of romantic love in my life. But James says, "Count it all joy" so I choose to be grateful for whatever His plan is for me. Husband or no husband. I'm so happy for you two! 🙏

Wow heather, this is so similar to my situation. I had such a huge void in my heart and I started looking for love and acceptance in different people and I kept finding myself feeling more worse after every relationship. I started seeking god more and just trusting him and just fully dedicating myself to him and his word. I felt such a peace. So much love that I haven’t felt in a long time. I haven’t turned back. God is the center of my life and it’s been an amazing journey. My husband and I got married after being together for 8 months. We’re 5 years married today. ❤️ We have our ups and downs of course but he’s an amazing person. What god gives is forever. 🙏🏻
When I look back I can see how God started arranging for us to meet for almost 20 years earlier. Two years after we met we began dating. Precise and significant timing of events are His way of showing us He was behind it all along. We've been a couple for 22 years now married 20, and couldn't be happier. Thank You Jesus !!!

Beautiful story. Knowing what I know now... It's our responsibility to look within, unlearn unhealthy patterns, limiting beliefs, and healing unresolved childhood trauma. The good news is --- God makes things beautiful by shifting the "almost icky negative experience" to beautiful wisdom of loving ourselves inside out. To all my single brothers and sisters... This is so beautiful and brings us singles so much hope. I just got out of a 5 month relationship with a man who tried to pretend to be who I wanted and I prayed for so long for God to reveal his true intentions and 6 weeks before he was suppose to propose, I broke up with him, he started to distract me away from God, he had so many trust issues, red flags etc so I felt God telling me this isn't who I have for you, let him go.... Its been a month and a week since the breakup and I'm back on track praying for my kingdom wedding and my godly husband 🙏... I pray for my future husband everyday and I know God is preparing both of us to be ready to cross paths

New to another country...so....during Covid season, the Lord is going to have to drop my husband from the sky. If I'm being honest, I'm currently struggling with the same thing for a different reason. My encouragement is that you don't have to be perfectly content for God to bless you or bring you a spouse. I am 53 and never married. I am a Christian and have been praying and trying my best to get out to meet people and be more social since I have worked from home for a long time. I think confidence is the biggest obstacle which I am working on.
Confidence is important but it's not an hindrance to God's plan, nothing is. I will advice you to take on some activities that you might like such as hiking, golfing, going to the dog park if you have one, do some volunteering, if you love gardening or have plants, visit local nursery, all these are great ways to meet people and automatically leads to talking about common interest; also once in a while you can have your lunch or dinner out of the house or even your coffee like this lady, I am sure she could have gone home and do whatever she wants on her computer. This goes for friendship in general. Keep working on yourself in this season while praying for your desire. Good luck.
Thank you for sharing @Jax Fl, I know that working from home and trying to meet people can be difficult, especially when you don't feel as confident. I would just encourage you to get out of your routine as much as possible (such as working at a local coffeeshop 💕) And when you are out and about going about your routine, take time to slow down and allow opportunities for people to approach you or to smile and make eye contact. The more you get out of your comfort zone, the more your confidence can grow.

Thanks for sharing your story. It's really hard not to see my desire for marriage and love as a curse, it's hard to believe this isn't a punishment or some cruel joke. I'm in a stage where I'm petrified I'll have to suffer with this burning desire to have a family one day for the rest of my life, and have it unfulfilled. This gave me a little bit of hope, so thanks. I'm working every day to find my own life to live without constantly thinking about when it'll finally happen for me, it's poisonous.

I'm glad it worked out for you. 30 yrs ago I married a Christian man 1 year after meeting him. We are still married but it's been a rough go. I don't think we really knew each other well enough at the time. We both love the Lord but we can't seem to get it together. We are like chalk and cheese. I wish we had discussed earlier what we each wanted/expected from the marriage. I love him as the father of my children but there is not alot of love shared between us as husband and wife. @@HeatherDanielleMitchell weird that this popped up for me, I feel my marriage of 16 yrs. is very emotional abusive and just a really bad match. I try to bury the disappointment and I think he feels the same way. Seen a million counselors, nothing has worked, I often wonder who I was suppose to be with, it’s heart breaking 💔
My biggest struggle is that marriage is not a promise and I never received a word from God on the subject. I just know it is and has always been a deep desire of my heart but I balance that with the reality that it’s not guaranteed. This was very inspirational nonetheless. Thanks for sharing your story ❤️

We can always work on ourselves, grow and improve, but there was absolutely another level of healing that took place for each of us through our relationship with each other. And it's always a continuous process. We have good days and bad days and that's completely okay! And it's okay to feel like you need support as well. I lean on my husband and need his support for sure.

Knowing your story and knowing the family I come from of my sisters both having long marriages, all being married at a young age and having beautiful children, my mom at 53 years old losing her husband, my father from death and finding another beautiful man which she was married to until she died. My sister's daughters are beautifully married with beautiful children.. Your story inspired me to try harder at prayer, I wanted to go to a religious retreat this weekend for three days at a convent. How often I just said take me God I am married to you. As I get older and without children or any family members alive and not choosing a convent with a group to support me.. I truly feel saddened by the failure of not being a Proverb 31 woman in any capacity. I can only pray for divine intervention with the Lord Jesus Christ knowing I have struggled every day alone and with only the power of his holy spirit have lived every day of my life. Thank you, Heather. I pray with two or more in his power that the Lord Jesus Christ will not forsake me. And at this long and final stage of my life be given a chance for a family on this earth, love in my heart, and an unlimited capacity to forgive, repent for all and any sins and be in complete gratitude for his love. It's obvious God set them up to be together. What were the odds that both of them happen to be believers too? I love how they were just going about the normal lives and met. That's how I want it to be for me. As a single Christian woman myself, I don't want to do online dating or be the pursuer. I want God to arrange my circumstances so that I meet the husband He wants me to have.

Your story is similar to mine. God definitely brought me to my fiancé’ after several failed relationships. Also I am a teacher. My fiancé cooks all meals cleans kitchen and rubs my feet nightly. So many similarities. I am so happy for both of you. I pray Jesus brings love to single people who seek this same type of relationship. Don’t give up! Believe and you shall receive!

I understand the wait....37 and in the wait. This year i decided...I will pray about it but mostly spend time in God's presence, get closer to God. Love on him and do things that brings me happiness. Waiting on a godly man is no joke. I believe that God will bring my husband at the right time.

Wow heather, this is so similar to my situation. I had such a huge void in my heart and I started looking for love and acceptance in different people and I kept finding myself feeling more worse after every relationship. I started seeking god more and just trusting him and just fully dedicating myself to him and his word. I felt such a peace. So much love that I haven’t felt in a long time. I haven’t turned back. God is the center of my life and it’s been an amazing journey.

This is so beautiful and brings us singles so much hope. I just got out of a 5 month relationship with a man who tried to pretend to be who I wanted and I prayed for so long for God to reveal his true intentions and 6 weeks before he was suppose to propose, I broke up with him, he started to distract me away from God, he had so many trust issues, red flags etc so I felt God telling me this isn't who I have for you, let him go....
Its been a month and a week since the breakup and I'm back on track praying for my kingdom wedding and my godly husband 🙏... I pray for my future husband everyday and I know God is preparing both of us to be ready to cross paths
Marking this day 5.11.2021 and realizing that veteran's day is 6 months away...I will come back and give my testimony to encourage those who are waiting on The Lord and being of Good Courage.

I am 53 and never married. I am a Christian and have been praying and trying my best to get out to meet people and be more social since I have worked from home for a long time. I think confidence is the biggest obstacle which I am working on.
Confidence is important but it's not an hindrance to God's plan, nothing is. I will advice you to take on some activities that you might like such as hiking, golfing, going to the dog park if you have one, do some volunteering, if you love gardening or have plants, visit local nursery, all these are great ways to meet people and automatically leads to talking about common interest; also once in a while you can have your lunch or dinner out of the house or even your coffee like this lady, I am sure she could have gone home and do whatever she wants on her computer.
This goes for friendship in general.
Keep working on yourself in this season while praying for your desire. Good luck.
Thank you for sharing @Jax Fl, I know that working from home and trying to meet people can be difficult, especially when you don't feel as confident. I would just encourage you to get out of your routine as much as possible (such as working at a local coffeeshop 💕) And when you are out and about going about your routine, take time to slow down and allow opportunities for people to approach you or to smile and make eye contact. The more you get out of your comfort zone, the more your confidence can grow.

Thanks for sharing your story. It's really hard not to see my desire for marriage and love as a curse, it's hard to believe this isn't a punishment or some cruel joke. I'm in a stage where I'm petrified I'll have to suffer with this burning desire to have a family one day for the rest of my life, and have it unfulfilled. This gave me a little bit of hope, so thanks. I'm working every day to find my own life to live without constantly thinking about when it'll finally happen for me, it's poisonous.

I'm glad it worked out for you. 30 yrs ago I married a Christian man 1 year after meeting him. We are still married but it's been a rough go. I don't think we really knew each other well enough at the time. We both love the Lord but we can't seem to get it together. We are like chalk and cheese. I wish we had discussed earlier what we each wanted/expected from the marriage. I love him as the father of my children but there is not alot of love shared between us as husband and wife. I'm praying for a miracle....that both are hearts will be softened towards each other. May God continue to bless you both.

@@HeatherDanielleMitchell weird that this popped up for me, I feel my marriage of 16 yrs. is very emotional abusive and just a really bad match. I try to bury the disappointment and I think he feels the same way. Seen a million counselors, nothing has worked, I often wonder who I was suppose to be with, it’s heart breaking 💔
My biggest struggle is that marriage is not a promise and I never received a word from God on the subject. I just know it is and has always been a deep desire of my heart but I balance that with the reality that it’s not guaranteed. This was very inspirational nonetheless. Thanks for sharing your story ❤️

We can always work on ourselves, grow and improve, but there was absolutely another level of healing that took place for each of us through our relationship with each other. And it's always a continuous process. We have good days and bad days and that's completely okay! And it's okay to feel like you need support as well. I lean on my husband and need his support for sure.
