I bought that Spartan's Den beard oil based off of your recommendation in a previous video and LOVE IT. It smells amazing and the bottle (oil delivery pump thing) is unlike any other beard oil I have had, really nice and at the very least, less than half the cost of most other beard oils. Great video here too bro!
Oh and you also forgot the link to the brush.
Steve Herrmann I bought the oil also, after his recommendation. Very impressive, the Legend is also good.
Yea I really love it, It's like a beard cologne. I was super impressed with it, glad you loved it as well
Yeah I use the Legend beard balm from Spartan's Den also, picked it up at the same time I ordered the beard oil just to try it, love it also.
Can you add the link to the brush also? I have a boars hair bristle brush I use but am in need of a new one soon, would like to see which one you're using. Thanks.
His beard “fresh outta the shower” is better than mine straightened and conditioned
This video really helped out my fiance, he's got a pretty big bushy beard and he's never really grown it out like this before. He was clueless on how to maintain it, so this video was super helpful! Thanks!
I watch a ton of these types of videos but yours is definitely the best beard on UA-cam. I also dig that you try & steer us toward affordable options. Stay cool man.
Thanks for making these vids, I'm new to beard care and was totally lost before I started watching.
Nice tips. I think everyone has a slightly custom routine. I think it also depends on the type of beard you have. Mine is very dense and curly, so out of the shower I usually do 5-6 drops of oil first. And really rub it in and get it in close to the skin, then do a wide comb, thin comb, brush. After the oil is spread evenly, I add the matching balm, (about a dime size) and only coat the outside with the balm. I don't rub it down all the way in. Slightly different than yours but effective for me. Also, I only use beard wash 2-3 times a week to keep the natural oils in the beard. I use a beard softener/conditioner in the shower daily (co-wash). Cheers.
Wow throwback!
I like seeing the confidence and knowledge you’ve gained about products since this video.
That beard is on some spartan status lol that a glorious beard
haha, I'm trying :)
Go Skins!!!
I was really thinking bout god of war
I'm quite sure Spartans didn't use beard shampoo.
I seen that troll video, lol , I watch your videos and 4 other people about great beard advice. you are the man. dude.
Awesome video! Just started growing my beard about 4 months ago and the wife absolutely loves the Spartans den beard oil smell. Trying to talk her into letting me grow it out longer so that's a different battle but I think with the beard balm I can make it work. Thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you for listing the products. I added them all besides the shampoo to my cart and purchased them. Can't wait to try them! Great beard btw man! 👍
Your videos are definitely helpful. Keep up with the awesome videos!
Cool, straight forward. Growing my beard for a while. I will be following your advices all the time. Keep up the good work.
Thanks man!! Glad you came and checked the videos out!
Awesome video bro. I'm glad to be ok the right track. I'm growing my first ever beard at 37. I do not have a lot of facial hair so that always discouraged me plus working in restaurants was a no go. Right now it's the love gest it's ever been. Over the past week o went out and bought a comb and brush and beadd balm then the next day I got the wash. Your video confirmed for me I'm doing the right things I will def check out rest of your videos
Thanks for the video, I’m only about 2 months into my beard growing Journey, but I want to start taking care of it from early stages. There are so many different products out there so it can get very overwhelming to find what you actually need. Can you suggest on some care taking route for someone who is only few months in? As well as advice on whether to trim or just let it go completely? A lot of different videos out there.
Thanks. Love the channel!
You've got some awesome tips my friend, I've been watching your channel for a week now. I'll share my daily routine with you, when I get out of the shower, I'll dry my beard with my towel with it still being a little damp. Then I blow dry it on low heat while working my comb through my beard, after that I use beard oil, then beard balm to lock in the moisture of the beard oil and then I comb everything through.
Thank u for this straight to the point unlike other videos I since
Working on a two month beard, my first. This helped a lot. Thanks
Thank you King Leonidas. Lol. Your beard is glorious and beast it, I just got out of the Marine Corps after 5years, last week and am growing out my beard finally. I’ve watched 5-6 videos of yours and they’ve been a great help, thanks bro. P.S still waiting on Spartans Den to be delivered lol
Great Video Scuba James
Brand new subscriber good stuff man you really clear up alot
Yea I try to be as straight forward as possible
Dude well done. I watch as much as I can in hopes to emulate what you are doing.
I always oil my beard first and then use the balm - Seems to hold better.
It not only holds better but it moisturizes the face and hair. The balm locks the oil in to the hair and protects it.
Those Kent combs rock, thanks for suggesting them.
Yea I always have loved them
Absolutely fantastic video
Ordered the Spartans den oil
Was using rocky Mountain previously
You are great bro. I m trying to have a huge beard, but it seems it s not my job. So now I m trying with a long goatee, and It s working. thanks for the suggestion!
Great vids dude you definitely deserve more subs!
thanks so much man!
YOU Da Mahn!!! brother love your beard, Ive been growing my beard for 2-3 months with no oil or beard bomb or comb.. i want to get it like yours so thanks for the tips and advice, ima hook up with those bad boys that make the beard gangsta!! Shot bro!
I does use Jamaican black castor oil, tea tree oil and some other oils in my beard.
I don’t want the scent of my beard balm to overwhelm the smell of my beard oil or have some kind of scent mash up. What would you recommend to prevent this?
Great Vid! When using both oil and balm, does it matter which one you apply first?
just subscribed recently but your beginner advice and recommendations are stellar! Love the vids, just started growing a full beard and ordered the brush set with honest amish beard balm and oil, so thanks for the motivation to inspire my commitment to the glory that is....a real man's beard grow! Respect from the 670 CNMI...
btw I did start off as that following the neck line guy haha and I regret it, but I'm on my first two weeks and despite the itch while I await my products to arrive in the mail, coconut oil seems to help thus far...big thanks again Man for the pointers!
Good video bro. my mustache has a sorta handle bar effect. I've thought about trimming the ends but nervous it may not look full anymore. Have you ever had that issue?
Appreciate everything i keep up the thing with me is I’m into high end men’s cologne so I use unscented beard oil because the cologne then Beard oil and deodorant scents just clash into a big mess I understand everyone is different but my wife even said yea it’s to much having so much different scents going on I think it be cool if you touched on this if you have send me a link thanks
Great video. I have had beards many times but never really really made that commitment and go past that "you know" stage. What tips and trick do you have for grooming and products everything you did during that scruff-to-full beard I mean full obviously not the full goal to where we are grooming and styling but I really I'm looking for the juuust past the solid start like that month scruff where you got to keep it clean and presentable as well.
Hi, nice videos, can you tell me why we should use balm and oil? Thanks
My routine is about the same as yours other than I use a Shea butter leave in before bed it seems to make the morning routine much easier. I've also found i don't get bedbeard as badly.
I live in Shanghai... I wish I could get these things out here. I have some beard oil that I picked up in the UK, but I need to get me some balm!
hey man great video! I have a question, I broke all 5 basic rules, when I grew my beard ie. jawline, washed twice a day, never used balm or oil, i guess my question is, should I shave and start over or can I start doing things right and will it get better?
You are helping me with these great tips. Everyone around me tells me to shace it. I said no way I just need product to make it look presentable. This stuff smells good and you're right about the ladies lol
I do like and enjoy this. I wish you would explain the why you do each step though. Like what's the point of this. It would help me understand a lot more. Thanks for the information though!
Did you ever have patches where your beard didnt really grow? Or grew but not as well as other places? I have seen and heard of serums that help promote beard growth in these places, are there any you could recommend?
Going back and forth on the video, im able to tell the difference. Looks good.
I've always heard that you should use oil first, to lock in the moisture, and then balm for grooming. Is there a particular reason why you use the balm first?
The first time someone asks to smell or touch your beard is a weird moment, i don't even have a good beard and i still get it, Imma grow mine to your level (Hopefully) and see how much that changes
i use a similar wooden comb. have been for about 18 months and like it a lot. and i have the same brush. looking for a new beard wash now, the mr rugged is sold out. have any thoughts on texas beard co bar wash?
Don't remember what video it was but you recommended I buy Spartans den beard balm for my anniversary with my wife. I went with the legends scent and she loves it and I do. Just bought some bearded bastard stuff that I saw in your video. keep the videos and advice coming man.
U are beard goals my dude
I love the smell off my beard oil, it's a burbon vanilla smell!
I can smell my beard all day!
good stuff! I have a similar routine, I usually do beard oil and then beard balm, I may have to try reversing.
It's all really the same
How would you incorporate a heated brush to this routine. And how often should I use a heated brush? And do you shampoo it everyday?
Do you wash your beard every morning with beard wash? I was told to only use it 1-2 times a week
Thanks for the info, good video!
What woman has ever asked, "Oh, can I smell your beard?" 😅 I literally laughed out loud
A legend in the making...
So I’ve been under the impression, and what I’ve been doing is, first using beard oil then putting in the honest Amish beard balm, so I always use both. Is using only beard balm enough for the beard, and skin, nutrients wise? Or I’m still good doing what I’ve been doing? I don’t want to be doing too much and have a lot of build up given I only shampoo my beard 3 times a week. Thanks man!
I do similar thing but I put beard oil that I made myself on at night as well after I wash my face because I have dry skin
Hey so I’m new to your channel but I also work for art of shaving have you ever used your beard products and what you think of then ??
Can I use the same routine with same products for my hair please notice that I have dandruff I tried so many different things to stop it like Nizoral but it came back after I used head and shoulders also my hair is falling out please help I don’t know what to do thanks
Im 17 I got a big fluffy beard should I just get any beard oil comb and balm because i dont use anything and it grows and looks fine to me it does
How often to do wash it? And what do u do in between washs? Can u put too much baml n oil on ur hair? Suggestions for thickening my beard?
Nice vid man as always and what an Epic mighty Beard the Gods have given u by the way..I throw some 30 second to a minute conditioner first..wash it off..then oils and finally the Butter with a good brush to top it off ..gonna try the Balm you recommended to see what's up..peace🤘
I've got some patchy beard to the upper portion of my side beard where my jawline finishes. would you please tell me how to keep them always straight??
"Can i smell your beard?" Yeah, that's a normal question...
LOL I was thinking the same thing...I'd probably run the hell out of there.
As long as its not a dude.
What is your opinion on CD Beard Oil and products? I’m looking for beard products that has an awesome sent but works very well.
Awesome Routine Dude. You have a sick beard man. Still growing mine out but recently trimmed it back a little to even everything up but would love to have a beard like of your length eventually I'm just very impatient and want instant results lol.
HAHA thanks man!!! Have you tried the biotin? I have another video about it. Check this out: ua-cam.com/video/9QSKT0RcImw/v-deo.html
I have a major issue with the skin under my beard being severely dry. I can grow a decent beard but always end up shaving it off because the itch is just uncomfortable. Not sure what I can do to keep this from happening or if you have any recommendations? I think I also just have real sensitive skin so maybe you could let me know of some products that would help the skin but not break me out
Hey bro, have you ever tried the Beard Stuggles viking mineral mud mask? I know you arent a huge fan from them claiming their oil promotes growth and their outrageously priced heated brush but do you like their products at all?
thank you for the information brother🤘🏻
Hey brother, the beard that you have is the beard that I've always dreamed of. However my beard is very curly (naturally) and it never seems to straighten up. It only tidies up when I use beard oil and balm and sometimes hair dryer. I am young too (17) so my beard is novice (around 2.5 inches long if beard was straight). Do you have any tips on how to make my beard straighter?
Have you tried the " mountaineer brand " balm? If not please do and compare to your favorite so that I know your judgment. It has a lite scent that's nice
i just start it growing my beard out give me some good advice or tips plz i used pacinos beard oil now in i just used regular shampoo on my beard that was not a good idea smh
I just got some of the items that you recommended, like the Spartans beard oil, Spartans beard shampoo, Smooth Vikings Brush & Comb and the Honest Amish beard balm. What I'd like to know is...how many times per day should I wash my hair with the shampoo, how many times should I brush & comb it and how many times should I use the balm and/or the oil. Feed back would be nice from anyone who's made great progress. TY!
Thanks for making these video
I'm loving my new Kent comb(best I've ever used) but man there is a *lot* of static. Is that a problem? I'm seeing a lot of combs advertised as "static-free" and I ask myself why would they say that? Should I be avoiding it?
Do you recommend the balm and oil for stubble use?
And is the shampoo non-comedogenic? (doesn't clog pores)
No need for you to do anything different. It's working for you and on point. I have some subtle differences myself and I make sure I put the beard oil on in the morning after I shower. This way the beard is still warm and moist and you can lock in more of the oils. Then about 10 minutes later I'll apply the beard balm to actually keep some flyaways in place. I cowash for about 4 days and on the 5th day I usually use a beard wash (Mountaineer). Thanks for all the videos. By the way: Epic beard!
Just gonna throw this out there to you. I like to use the oil first mainly focused on the roots and skin. Directly after oil I'll apply the balm.
I’m not sure if you’ve done a video on this, but I’m confused on when to use my heated comb? Before or after I put my balm and oil in. Great video btw :)
I learned I do not use enough beard balm. Thanks for the tutorial
I always thought beard oil first, then beard balm to keep straggles down. Is there a benefit to doing one before the other?
How do you guys deal with curly beards? I've had mine for about 4 months now. It's coming off the face fairly nicely, but the underbeard tends to curl right back under. Whenever I try to comb the beard, the comb just gets stuck and usually yanks out a few hairs. I realized that this will destroy my beard in the long run, so I got a brush which tends to do a good job but also strips off some hairs. Anyways, the point I'm trying to make is that there's no way for me to get my beard hair to the point where every hair is loose on it's own and you can guide your fingertips or brush through it with ease like @BeardTube does. I use beard oil and balm twice a day and wash my beard with water only. I guess I might have to look into a heated beard straightener for that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hey man. What causes split ends in a beard and what can be done to prevent it? Thx!
This is probably a dumb question but I need to know. I have a little bit of side burns and the goatee but my cheeks have peach fuzz still and I turn 20 this year. Will all that peach fuzz left over turn dark like my goatee?
I have a 3 or 4 inch beard about 3 years ago. Is it good to wash it every day and use the balm and wax? These products are quite durable and I think that their effect lasts about 2 or three days. Is it better to do that process every two or three days as with the hair of the head or daily?
Hey, thanks for the video. How frequently do you wash your beard?
Awesome video bro ty!
That beard is wicked.love it..
Dude, does the balm or the oil goes first if you are expecting a long day if you want to use both of them? Does the order really matter if you apply both as long as you do not over do it?
Great videos bruh, keep them coming!
How do you care for the 'Stache? Do you trim it at your lip or let it grow real long and shape it? It appears just at the lip but I'd be interested in your opinion.
I have som light simple beard wax and or oil that I use sometimes in the evening... And it's like when I wake up in the morning only makes my beard easier to handle... Especially if I have to get going early or fast... To me it makes a difference
Any tips on ingrown hairs? I just bought a Kent comb so hopefully that will help a little. But after a month or two and it has some good length, I always get in grown hairs and it’s just annoying and doesn’t look good.
Hi do you wash your beard with a beard shampoo everyday? Because i saw your other video and you said dont wash your beard everyday and you just wash it once or twice a week. I hope i can get a reply Godbless and thank you very much! Lovin your tips
Is it fine to use the hair dryer after the shower for my beard ? And what do u advice use the hair dryer before I put beard oil or after?
Is there a reason why you prefer to only use balm most days?
I'm on my third or fourth "larger" beard (been growing it all Winter for the past few years), but letting it continue into Summer this year.
On previous beards, I only used oil. This year, I started using balm with the oil when the beard is extra fluffy and doesn't want to lay down as well. I always use the oil first and then add balm if needed.
Just curious if you've found that balm alone works better for your beard. While mine is shorter than yours, it seems like our hairs have similar properties. Other than that, we seem to have pretty much the same routine.
Do you wash it every day? I stick to 1 or 2 times a week with beard wash and condition every time I shower. I usually shower at night though, so I do a "bird bath" in the bathroom sink in the morning to just get my beard and hair wet with hot/warm water and fluff it back out after a night of sleeping on it.
Yea for my beard, the balm holds it much better, almost like a styling product, and the great thing about balm is it lasts longer. Yea I only wash it 1-2 times a week at the most. We have very similair routines!!
I guess I was under the impression that the oil is better for conditioning and the balm is better for hold. Same basic ingredients though except for the beeswax/etc that make the balm hold. I think I'm gonna have to try going with JUST balm sometime and see if it's better than just oil. Thanks for the inspiration. Haha
If a product lathers up too much its not cleaning properly...the lather prevents cleaning and is a sign it contains harmful ingredients.
Some beard oils are better than others luster and silage wise.. check out beard brand... also use jojoba oil- 6-7 drops and then put one drop of your premium beard oil and mix it up with hands and put it in your beard- makes the premium beard oil last longer as they are expensive. i got the longer beard so blow dry and somes times straighten hairs out with a flat iron- low heat and very careful. switching up combs is always good... i use a combination of combs and i never through them around lol
Is it prudent to wash one’s beard everyday? I’ve heard it’s good to go every other day, thoughts?
Thanks man really helpful
whole video , all what I think about : "the burp is coming , anytime now"
Your beard looked awesome before you treated it. I'll check out your recommendations. Thanks big guy 👍
