Italian food is always top tier🇮🇹✨ And the prices are still kinda there in between: not cheap not expensive. Even if travel abroad I still miss my food and I always say: I can’t wait to come back come and eat a real pizza, real focaccia, real pasta, fresh bread etc

Italian here, I live two hours rom Florence and I go there quite often but I never go to Antico Vinaio, I praise you for your patience on that line. I doubt the line in Rome is any shorter.
I live in Florence , there is a new antico vinaio now closer to academia (from David) this one normally has smaller lines. If you are in Florence between fall / winter the lines are very short, maybe this is your change to try.
Boy, did they see the tourist coming 😂. Lived in Rome for six months. You will find some great bakeries down the tiny back streets .... Fresh bread, ham and cheese sandwich equivalent of $4. Go to the small family run restaurants and not the ones in the squares or just off them ..... My apartment was above one. The food will be fresh and home cooked ..... And half the price.
These are literally the most touristy places in the city. If you think what she ate is good, just find a local Roman to guide you to the actual good places.

I'm from Rome, good choice for the Antico Vinaio, it's amazing. I would have recommended better places for pizza and ice cream but as you're in the center.. not bad! I eat like this everyday btw 😂

In the ice cream shop, you should have got the icecream on a cone. I have been there and they dip the icecream in chocolate which freezes and gives a satisfying texture 😊
As an Italian,I hope you will return!And if u return,you have to try the maritozzi(a Rome's speciality).Maritozzo is like a fluffy and sweet panino,filled with whipped cream!!!I advise you to try the maritozzi at the Bar Farnese(📍Via dei Baullari,Rome),with hot cappuccino!
As a Italian muslim that can't eat most of the good stuff and barely spent my time in my birth country, I'm happy crying that Italy is getting recognition other than pizza, getting mad at broken spaghetti and the leaning tower😭😭 I'm also crying at the pronunciations of the words
Tiramisu is actually considered (by local Italians) to be more of an tourist dessert.. Italians will have pastries from their local bakery or fruit, cheese and nuts for dessert
tiramisu is not considered a "tourist dessert" by local Italians. It's probably a more special occasion/going out to eat dessert but it's not touristy. It's a classic, albeit modern dessert enjoyed throughout Italy. If you want to talk "touristy" then All'antico Vinaio (shown in the video) is very touristy. It is fine but there are other more quality places where you don't have to wait forever in line :)
