Your channel feels so refreshed now that you have set up healthy boundaries and are doing what you enjoy 💕 I loved it before, but I love it even more now knowing that you are doing what’s best for your family! Thank you for being here 😊
I wanted to post a similar comment but you said it perfectly! Delilah you have made this transition so beautifully! Thank you for providing so much value to your viewers while respecting your family's needs.
I've been LOVING the direction your food and cooking has taken- very old world cooking, traditional and NOURISHING. Thats how we cook too and my family is FLOURISHING!!!
Delilah, I would love a video about some tips and tricks you use for having your littles help you in the kitchen. I find it so stressful when my son wants to help! The mess, the listening to the rules, the chaos of having a “helper”!
Pick the meals you want to have help with. For me, coffee making and oats in the morning was a good starting point . Very little mess and very happy helpers. From helping them scoop the coffee/oats to ensuring they hold it steady as they pour, to leting them mix it, and the fact now they can do it on their own 90% of the time is a rewarding experience for me and them. Other baking options usually involves me portioning out ingredients and then rotating who does what (son does dry ingredients, daughter who is older does wet ingredients). They take turns stirring and I do the scooping out for muffins - they roll and cut for cookies. Good luck. :)
for me it was cookies and my first was amazing. Now she does cakes and smoothies and cuts stuff as she is 4. But I started cooking with her at 1 and 3 months sitting her on the counter top. It is messy and the kitchen gets in a bad shape but the memories are worth it. I hate cleaning but I usually like it more after cooking with one of my little ones
Completely adored every minute of every recipe in the bunch. The fact that you enjoyed putting the video together makes it that much better still. Would absolutely like to see more like this.
okey but these are THE comfort videos I need in my life right now. Such cozy vibes and I just love to see when you cook. Please do more cooking videos. They heal me inside out. 🥹🫶🏻
I love that your kids are so involved in your cooking. You’re teaching them important life skills this way! My daughter (1.5) is such a picky eater. I admire how you involve so many healthy and diverse options in your meals. I hope to get there someday!
Having your daughter will help cook with really help with her not being picky! My kids are always soooo much more willing to try something if they had some sort of hand in making it. They also get more exposure to the texture and smell and that helps too.
Your video makes me passed the toughest time in two weeks after give birth, learn a lot to plan day with one bigger kid and a new born, makes me feel powerful that I can handle the life ❤thank you
I love watching you in the kitchen cooking meals. You are so creative and nothing goes to waste. And the love you put into your families meals is so nice to see,
I just love sitting down @ nap time and entering my little safe space on the internet (which is your UA-cam channel) I always feel so encouraged watching your videos, hearing you chat, seeing the way your home operates and how you are such a beautiful godly mama. Thanks for continuing to put in so much hard work and effort in creating these videos, it’s not unnoticed! Xx
This was inspiring! As for the borscht, you can use whatever you have. Usually for winter, sauerkraut is the best option! Also, as a little tip I got from a pro-chef is to cook veggies (carrots and beets) in the broth, cool them and then shred and put into the pan with onion and garlic. This way the broth is more flavored, plus don't be afraid to use more spices like black pepper, paprica, tumeric and ginger. And the sour cream is must! :)
You’re a fabulous chef! I’m amazed that your children eat all of those foods. I know some kids who will only eat pizza, burgers and chicken nuggets. Congratulations on raising children who’ll eat a large variety of nutritious foods! Well done, Mama!
I'm from México and I like your videos very much, I found a delightful way to learn English and enjoy my resting time to see what I like. Lovely family, lovely house, I already started using sourdough. And y like to watch Farm house on Boone videos too.
I have to say I'm so impressed by your cooking skills. I grew up in a household where my mom cooked a lot, but not sure why I don't enjoy it but forcing myself to cook more.
Loved this video. I'm born in the Soviet Union and tell you there is nothing else that makes beets taste that good. We also had the soup with sour cream but never with sauerkraut. I will surely try though, when baby is out and stomach works again.
The Lord has used you to be a blessing in my life! You have inspired and encouraged me greatly to be a better homemaker for my family! Thank you so much💗 Love these style of videos!
This type of content and video style suits you perfectly. So calming and cozy ❤. I would love a dough video on your best tips/tricks or a how to sourdough video where you show steps. Both you and Zach have awesome camera skills, I could see a creative edit. My mom was a single working mom, she isn’t a “from scratch” type of person so I never learned a lot of from scratch recipes, growing up. Working the corporate 9-5 makes me feel like I’ll never be a stay-at-home mom either. Maybe the first year or so.. 😢 I feel for all the moms in this position with limited time in the week. It’s easy to compare yourself to others.. I’m not even a mom yet but the pressure to give your children the best life and be the best mother you can be must be immense. All you can do is try your best with the circumstances you’re given or have made for yourself, I suppose. I really want to learn how to bake bread from scratch, pasta from scratch. You definitely motivate me.
i was really inspired by this. in my family we have been looking at cooking from a tiring pov, but seeing you doing in such a purposeful way encoraged me to do it too.
I love seeing how creative and dedicated you are in the kitchen. I aspire to be more like you in that way and I cant wait to see more content like this!
I really enjoy your cooking videos Delilah, they always give me great ideas of meals to cook for my own family and it seems like you’re in your element too All the best from the UK x
I’m currently in between living arrangements but I’m a huge “kitchen fairy” 😂😂 so not having access to an oven or other equipment makes it really hard for me to enjoy cooking. It’s been hard working with more simple meals but watching this just inspired me to patiently wait for when I’m able to once again spend hours in the kitchen like this again. 🙏🏼🥰 love to see your enthusiasm and dedication to your family as always. God bless y’all ❤😊
I love the changes you made with your videos! I get a lot of inspiation from videos like this and my family likes the changes on their dinner table. I also like how conscious you have become about showing your kids! I think it's the right thing to do to protect them amd their privacy. Espescially the older ones. But as weird as it is... I actually miss them a little. They (and you) have been around in my journey of motherhood ever since I researched starting my now 3 years old daughter on solids.
I wish I lived at your house 😂 love seeing the kiddos helping and enjoying cooking. Because you used ground beef you made a cottage pie, shepherd's pie is made with lamb, hence the shepherd part lol everything looked so yummy!!
I wish I lived there, too!! The kids and Zach are so blessed to have Delilah in every way, but I think especially in the kitchen!! And they are all MUCH healthier, eating meals made from scratch!! They have good, all the way around!! Delilah, u are a caring wife and mother!!
All of this food looks so beautiful! I’m going to try your suggestion for mashed potatoes! In the UK we call it Cottage Pie when it’s beef, and Shepherd’s Pie when it’s lamb (because of the sheep I guess!) ❤
You have inspired me (and shown me it IS possible with young children around) to make more snacks and meal components from scratch. Thank you for the encouragement ❤
I absolutely love these videos! I work full time from home with 3 littles and my brain feels so exhausted sometimes that I can’t think of meals. This helps me so much because you are doing the work for me 😅 Thank you for all your recipe videos! I’m definitely making enchiladas and quesadillas this week. ❤
MOOOOORRRRREEEEEEEEEEE COOKING VIDEOS PLEASE 🙏❤️☺️ Also - I’ve been craving enchiladas ever since watching Lisa from Farmhouse on Boone make them… Too funny, she was your inspiration… This is my sign I better make them ASAP 😂
I've really been especially loving your content lately! This video was very helpful and gave me some new ideas. Plus it was just pretty. Definitely do more of these meal videos :)
Such a cool video! Love hearing about the different foods you like to make. My approach to soups and weeknight foods is really similar. I like thinking up recipes from what I have left!
Great video Delilah, would love to see more like this ❤ also what you make for breakfasts and snacks for your kids would be nice to see as I have a house full of littles too 😊
I started watching your videos in 2018, ( been watching since then) then i got a boyfriend at high school which was going magical. I thought we would be like your family. I was watching and daydreaming about those days. I was 16 back then, now 21. We broke up and now watching you hurts me in a million ways but ill be fine. Praying for your family so that you can be in love, peace, happines for forever. ❤
Cooking alongside you while watching this. In England shepherds pie is with lamb mince and cottage pie is with beef mince. Never heard of doing it separately but sounds an interesting way to try it. I always make 2 as it freezes so well. Just construct it but don’t cook it then pop it in the freezer. When needed Get it out, defrost and pop in the oven.
I loved this video. So refreshing and simply beautiful. I see Jesus in this video, in the way you serve with great love your family. Thank you, you inspire me to be more like Jesus 💗💗
I love watching you❣️just and idea, if you use one tortilla and fold it over for the quesadilla you will always have a folded edge and easier to flip👍🏻
For sourduogh tortillas. I tried a few and finally found a good one recently. I mix 350g flour, 125g water, 150g starter (active or discard), 75g oil and 6g salt. I usually need to add more flour but it depends. Then let it rest for a couple hours ( or 3 days 😅) and divide in 10 and bake like your regular tortillas on high
Cute dress in the first scene. I am the same way as you are with baking and cooking in regards to following recipes or not. Your tortillas look so fluffy and delicious! Nicely done. The rest of your food looks so good too. Now I want to make my meatless shepherd's pie I make every March to celebrate the Irish blood in my family. I wish my grandmothers had lovely smelling homes as you said your food reminded you of Grandma. Mine didn't cook at all (either of them)!!!!

Ikr , I’ve been a subscriber for yeaaaaaars and I love how humble real and respectful she is
I like her too and all how she has grown but I find it unrelatable at times, and it makes me sad for some reason

I am from the southern part of the US so hearing your pronunciation of Enchilada had me cracking up haha! I say it like so, “Inch-A-La-Duh” 😂
Inch ee la thuh! Is correct ☝🏻😅
On-chiladas threw this Texan through a loop too! Hahaha
Same! We say EN-chi-la-duh and PAW-STUH 😅🤣
Haha we say EN-chilada and I was thinking the same thing!! Also we say PAHsta. From Michigan.
@@jpmarie9. U don’t pronounce the “D”, at all??

Такая приятная семья. Вы прирожденная мама, это Ваше призвание. Все очень гармонично, сплошное умиротворение.

Isn’t that right??!! I feel like I enter into a different world! A very relaxing and helpful Delilah World!!
From the UK and I like to cheese top my Sheppard's pie! And have carrots in the mix 😊 so lovely to see what you feed your family ❤
Everything looked absolutely delicious 😋 Nothing like home cooked meals made with clean ingredients and no fillers. Well done!!

The way Canadians say enchiladas is so funny and cute lol.
We say
Inch-a-la-dahs.
We don't say it that way 😂

I never knew Canadians pronounced enchiladas that way!
I don’t think it’s a Canadian thing..
I'm canadian and I definitely don't, hahaha! I was cringing the whole time 😂
Reminded me of the Mexican week episode of Bake Off 😂
We def don’t. That’s a terrible way to pronounce it :(
