@Mac Tex flex capacitor I’ll hook mine up and invest in the discs, thanks. My friend was a recurring extra on the set . He said he’s never met kinder, nicer actors then them. They made sure he and the extras had plenty to eat on the long days of filming and just awesome to be around.
I think I've concluded that (in my humble opinion), Northern Exposure and Mash are the two greatest shows, ever. With Twilight Zone, Columbo, and Star Trek right behind. I have a spiritual bias toward N. Exposure as being the top.
Ed looks exactly like his late father.... I was watching “pale rider” starring clint eastwood and when i saw his father in it, i was convinced it was his son until i saw the year the movie was made...
Ok. So IV heard a lot of news here in town. That ya ull where coming back to restart a new. Show. Please. Come back. We. All. Miss you. Folks. So. Much. Here in Roslyn.
I liked the 1st episode scene where Ed just stops the truck, when he's giving Joel his ride into town out in the middle of nowhere, and takes off into the woods.
I’ll Always be team Maggie and Joel! I think in the end the writers stop getting creative and just slapped these two Together but they were perfect as friends.
This episode with the tiny bear cub was kinda cute. But Ed really needed to realize that bears aren’t gonna do just as you ask. They’re just simply wild creatures.
I love Ed's fur coat! God,what a show! Box sets of this and Kung Fu,now that's some binge watching! As a retired Zoo guy and animal person,my heart is a little sore from all the tugging on the strings.
Yeah, Ed! Wish someone would pick up this show, so I can turn my in-laws on to, one of the best tv shows ever...those DVDs are too expensive, priced into oblivion
People didn't like Joel's replacement Dr. Capra and it took some episodes for the show to find it's legs again but imo the show got back to what made it great.
Awe shucks, I was expecting full episodes, not the all too common "clips"... UA-cam's just clogged up with billions of stolen and re-stolen fairly useless 'clips' of our favorite TV shows, a lame shame.
Life the way it should be. Here in my world we live like this every day. Simple, God fearing and loving our neighbors. America used to be like this before they turned on God.
Does Darren have any Native American ancestry? His character Ed was half Native. I'm wondering why they didn't cast an actor with more visible Native American ancestry?
"Visible" is a bit of a stereotype these days. I look more "traditional" and my brother looks straight up "Euro" but we are of the same tribe with the same mixed parents. We both represent our nation equally. Some of my friends are white skinned with prominent freckles, red hair and green eyes. They are fully enrolled members and visitors don't even realize they are talking to a tribal member.
Ed Chigliak was one of the best characters ever
Him and Renaldo were awesome lol
@@mitchclement3773
Who was Renaldo ? I'm an avid fan of the show, but I don't remember any Renaldo.
@@SmackWaterJack001 Reynaldo Pinetree
@@SFletcherson
thank you, but still no idea. ✌🏻
@@SmackWaterJack001 He was the Pi that let Ed work with him after he was hired by Ed to help find his mother.
My favorite TV show of all time.
Yep, best shoe ever on TV!
Me too
same
@@maxnullifidian Same! And, Ed has always been my favorite!
If there is a god, Netflix will pick up the entire series. Fingers crossed!
There is a God and He always gets a capital G.
ditto. with the "people" running that nightmare, NE will never get picked up.
I will resubscribe if they pick up this awesome show.
@Mac Tex flex capacitor I’ll hook mine up and invest in the discs, thanks. My friend was a recurring extra on the set . He said he’s never met kinder, nicer actors then them. They made sure he and the extras had plenty to eat on the long days of filming and just awesome to be around.
@Mac Tex flex capacitor I remember watching the show and not even know why i enjoyed it so much . I liked Janine Turner as the cute pilot.
I think I've concluded that (in my humble opinion), Northern Exposure and Mash are the two greatest shows, ever. With Twilight Zone, Columbo, and Star Trek right behind. I have a spiritual bias toward N. Exposure as being the top.
And Babylon 5
It sure did not get the attention and credit it deserved.
Should try something newer sometime, you might be surprised. Louis CKs show "Louis" was pretty good
Twin Peaks
This series shud b streamed somewhere better than friends n all that shit
The best tv show, ever. Live on forever, Northern Exposure!!!
This was such a sweet episode. Northern Exposure had the best characters ever.
I'm glad bear found Mama. Ed wasn't cut out for motherhood anyway. Dude is a natural shaman.
But, he did take pretty good care of him until they were able to reunite! Once he came to love him, that is.
Honestly this episode rules just on the scenes with Ed and the little Bear, so adorable
Favorite Ed episode was called Learning To Fly, I think. He starts to become a Shamen. That and any episode with One Who Waits.
That bear cub was the most gorgeous actor to ever appear on Northern Exposure. What a beautiful little being.
Arthur, the bear that Maggie encounters, is a close second...
Cicely is a state of mind. 🌲
Ed looks exactly like his late father.... I was watching “pale rider” starring clint eastwood and when i saw his father in it, i was convinced it was his son until i saw the year the movie was made...
Loved Ed's character on this show!
He embraced the spirit of the show perfectly!
I used to watch this show obsessively as a kid and Ed was favorite character.
Wish a TV station would put reruns back on . I haven't seen this show since 98
The full series is available on DVD!
I love Northern Exposure! Ed and Chris are adorbs!
Omg, This was like The sweetest scene ever 😪😪I cried so much ❣️..I just love Ed❣️
OMG! How much Darren looks like his daddy Billy Drago....hehe
I actually had to look up who was the well dressed goon in the Untouchables.
@@parisbrat RIP Billy Drago
Could you imagine raising a bear? Raising kids is hard enough.
wish tv would Re-run this
Love this! Ed is such a sweet thing
"He likes popcorn!" How cute! What a good clip.
I would love to see an interview of Darren Burrows talking about what it was like to film that episode with that darling bear
It's not the thing you fling...it's the fling itself!
We should bring up a Patition to bring this show back on whose with me?😌
Reruns, or reunion series?

I'm with you! Just ordered the DVD box set on Amazon but would love to see a reboot of some kind 😊
I just don't know if it's possible to recreate the magic. It's like the Beatles;the right people in the right time and place. How do you repeat that?
AWWW how cute. Billy Drago's son as Ed... This is a cute scene.. I wonder what his father thought when he saw this?...lol
My Wife & I are going to Roslyn Washington (Cicely Alaska) in May....

Aww! Ed was worried about Bear!
I would go on a date with any guy if a baby bear was included!!
One of the best series ever! Even after Rob Morrow left.
Awe, he found his mom 💙
This episode should have a million hits. Go figure.
Have 97% of the series, but, when Joel left, I kinda got uninterested, but, t’is an excellent show

I absolutely LOVE this series. Like Twin Peaks etc.
I have been watching Northern Exposure series ovger and over again for the past 15 years!! I hope someone will make something like this again.
I loved this show! Still my all time favorite!

Ed perfectly captures motherhood!
This episode with the tiny bear cub was kinda cute. But Ed really needed to realize that bears aren’t gonna do just as you ask. They’re just simply wild creatures.
Bonnie was no good! No way would I have abandoned a man who was trying to care for something small and helpless...unless it was a snake or something😂
Here’s a great article and interview with Darren Burrows who played Ed: m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_7241774

Great show didn't like the Liberal message that they always put into every episode. Acting great Characters great. But that's TV .
It's all in the eye of the beholder. Maurice owned the town and it was all done from a Conservative point of view.
I thought the writers got a bit “soapboxy” too with their social and political commentary at times
