Man I am hoping they let us fish next year it feels like somebody stole my lunch box ...
Hopefully salmon will make a comeback in CA.
Maybe in 2024 they will close the bait fishery too.

And keeping the rod the way she kept telling him is not the best way to fight a fish in the salt. River yes I agree with rod down. But in the salt the fish has plenty of room to maneuver and those flashers can bounce around if you don’t have full control of that rod and line. Get rid of the weights and use downriggers.
I also never understood why guides use right handed reels when most ppl are right handed. If you are right handed you should use left hand reels as rod control is easier with your dominant hand

Do those weights just fall off every time you get a fish? Like down to the ocean floor?

I can’t believe she reached for the line with her hand instead of reaching the net out to the fish. Sometimes on a hot fish you got to head to the back of the boat.
Salmon close for 2023. When was this video made?
With boat still moving forward and a strong wild fish, it becomes a challenge. Need to net the fish when it presents itself. Nice fish, too bad
