We don’t have a championship contending Seattle, optic now destroys unlike getting T6 every major, Rokkr isn’t competitive and ultra upgraded to contend for every major which is new. These are all just examples, I could go into more detail but I think I got my point across.
I agree, I also think the open bracket made for way more upset scenarios. Top teams only need to win a few matches to win a tournament now, and the only real negative is if you play a team hot off of losers finals or winners finals. Back in the day every day had so many matches, Swiss or pool play, then double elim, so I think those lower bracket runs mattered more because everyone was more fatigued. The team that really got rolling could beat anyone. The best players have been around the league for multiple iterations and aren’t teaming with as many new players, so I think young players are also having trouble building that confidence when it’s almost Impossible to break top 4 as a CDL rookie
I mean even the optic dynasty they admit to having never watched VoD. Sure they won a lot but arguably the last place team this year is probably putting in more practice and prep then the literal most successful team in CoD history. @@box3ydoing anything at a high level 10+ hours a day will wear you out, especially with no recovery time. Eventually it just stops getting 100% better, your wrists tighten up/swell/pop. Figures start getting sore, trigger finger starts getting pain/can't play near as long.
You just get old and playing so hard for so long accelerates tf outta these hand issues.
