A dream of mine (I am 55 yrs old) has always been to see General Sherman and to visit California. Finally made it to CA for the first time this past May. There were still lots of road closures at Kings and Sequoia after they had all those crazy storms earlier in the year. Got to see General Grant and sequoias over there, thankfully, but the roads to see Sherman opened about 1 week after we left! This only means I will try again someday, hopefully sooner rather than later. It truly was magical seeing Giant Sequoias in real life. I felt exactly like you did in this video!
I was here last year. Very beautiful area and there was still snow when I went too! Thank you for your poetic presentation of your walk by these giant trees :) Have a nice day!
You might enjoy Redwood National Park on the coast in northern California, with Fern Canyon.. Not quite as tall as sequoias, but hiking among the redwoods there a few weeks ago was still mostly just going "wuuuoooaaaa!" every few feet.
1:24 Thanks to you, i've just realized that trees are amazing. 4:48 I need to find this song 😅10:02 Maybe because of the white "hair" 🤔😅 I loved seeing many tree couples: close to each other, some hugging each other and even some merged into one 🥰 Yes, I love love 😅👍
Wow!! Angie, just wow!! These trees are magnificent. Thank you so much for sharing. Nature is truly spectacular. 💚 If only the trees could talk about what they've seen over the years... thanks for being you. 😊 Stay safe ❤
One of the national parks I've long wanted to visit but still haven't, along with its big brother to the north, Yosemite, and nearby Mt Whitney. I have been to Redwoods NP, though, also well worth a visit especially since it's by the Pacific and a particularly spectacular section of it. The only trees that I know of that live as long as the sequoias are bristlecone pines and olive trees (I'm sure that there are others of course). Some of these trees are so old that they actually predate the Roman empire! That's beyond my ability to comprehend. Just imagine, while Caesar was doing his thing and trying real hard to stay away from sharp objects and Brutus, these trees were saplings or not much bigger halfway around the world. And they're so big! Much bigger than a breadbox in fact. I bet Caesar was never this big! Thanks again Angie for bringing us to places that we either haven't been to, or have and want to relive. You are now officially my favorite travel vlogger. Very ASMR but also really funny. And I don't care what that tree thinks, you're not so bad to look at even if you're not 30 feet wide. 🤣
You're our "Every person", doing all the people things - going through the tree tunnels several times etc hahaha beautiful video and congratulations on your first bear! Thanks for taking us all there ie. back to a genuine response to the wonders of Mother Nature - you are such a delight. Makes me want to get out in nature right now. Watching from New Zealand.
The Bristlecone Pine forest is also worth checking out! They are the oldest known trees in the world! California has the tallest (Redwoods), largest (Sequoias), and oldest (Bristlecone Pines) in the world!
I love your enthusiasm for all these magnificent trees! makes me want to visit them, too. Thanks for sharing another great video. I look forward to watching them to see your fun adventures!
OH MY GOSH YESSS!! I've been wanting to go but I've never had the chance to go to California! I hope one day I can feel as tiny as you did next to those beautiful trees 🥺
I love your unique style of commentary. It's both informative and poetic. I do wonder how you manage to always look like you are alone in your National Park explorations.
The trick, wake up at 5am and partially film in the dark, haha! I was surprised I had that whole trail to myself in the middle of summer. I think that was just luck.
I thought there would be lots of people there. Is that right? Or are you just an excellent editor? Wonderful video! I was born in California but have not been there for decades. I yearn to go back. Thank you for showing us your trip.
I remember going through there as a kid a lot as we visited Yosemite often. Such a beautiful place and you exemplify each of us on our first trip. Love your reactions. Be honest now, Trees or Caves?
Yosemite, I think that might be the most beautiful place on earth. Truly gorgeous. The trees were INCREDIBLE, but I think I am going to have to go Caves. Haha!
Those scars are from forest fires. The flames scar the tree but don't do enough damage to destroy them. It's really interesting, although there are a lot of trees that depend on forest fires to survive.
@@angieontour1 Well the bears we have here in Scandinavia are not as tech savvy as the American bears :p but if this is the case, "Dear Mr. Bear, i hope you didn't eat miss Angie and that you only stole her camera and editing equipment. Please return it, so she can continue entertaining us far into the future"

You are adorable lmao. I love how happy you are. You’re inspiring me to do the same thing!

I was not mentally prepared for the snow, coming from Arizona where it was 110 degrees, then to snow in the mountains the next day. Very cool.
I love the way you look at the world you're in, such Beautiful young lady. Keep on having fun😂
I almost spit out my coffee when you said,” Looking at it with my four eyes”!! ☕️ 😂
Thanks for taking us along Angie

Thank you for the wonderful tour, you did an awesome job.
Nice adventures Angie! Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👍😎JP
I adore your videos. Thank you for spreading the joy.
It's just too cute seeing you walk in and out of the tree tunnel, Angie. Teehee. :)
If you feel super tiny..I would feel super super tiny lol . those are amazing..❤️
Thanks again for the tour

Girl, that's like the funniest thing anyone ever said about a sequoia forest 🤣🤣🤣
Wow!! Angie, just wow!! These trees are magnificent. Thank you so much for sharing. Nature is truly spectacular. 💚 If only the trees could talk about what they've seen over the years... thanks for being you. 😊 Stay safe ❤
I was thinking the same thing! The stories these trees would have... 2,000 years old. I still can't wrap my head around it.

I mean, who could look at a tree tunnel and NOT walk through it 6 times? Haha! Mother Nature is simply marvelous!
That was amazing! Thank you so much for taking us along.
I love it there!
Hi there, great video! ❤
Fantastic
watching from the Philippines...

Ooo, I didn't know about that! It has been added to the list, thank you!
The trees are mating, don't look. Shhh, Angie! :P
I love your enthusiasm for all these magnificent trees! makes me want to visit them, too. Thanks for sharing another great video. I look forward to watching them to see your fun adventures!
Definitely worth seeing in person, video can't properly capture the size of these beauties!
You're so funny. I love watching u. A Bear!!!! Cool trees, not cool bear.
I was there last year when I was on my cross-country road trip. A beautiful park. The General Sherman Tree is quite the sight. 🙏
Incredible, right?! I think this stop should be a requirement for any epic road trip through the West Coast.
Awesome video, got to see these myself.

@@angieontour1 Make sure to hit up the Redwood forests in NorCal (up by Eureka). The Avenue of The Giants is amazing!
I like your weird personality....you're adorable!
I remember when those trees 🌳 were seeds. No, wait ✋🏻!!! 😶
I'm Deaf and sign language my fast two hands and like her you shows on questions about gaint trees lol and wow that's awesome

Oi Angie, adoro teus videos, você é bonita e divertida, kisses from Brazil 😁😘
My truck camper broke down on my way to camp there in Kings Canyon National Park. 3 miles away from my campsite. My kids were so bummed 🙁
Ooofff, that's rough, all the way up those winding roads too. That sounds difficult.
When did you visit the park for this video? Looking to go in a few weeks but saw some areas are closed in 2023. Thanks.
❤
Nice content! How did the charred part get in/on the tree?
Those scars are from forest fires. The flames scar the tree but don't do enough damage to destroy them. It's really interesting, although there are a lot of trees that depend on forest fires to survive.
@@angieontour1 ahhh.. thank you!
Angie, we love watching your adventures 💜 Is there a way to send you coffee or gas money?
10:00 should've named it the Lincoln Tree
Maybe time for a name change? Angie and the Coolest Thing Ever! Priceless video!
I love how she does her videos..she's fun 👍
I think you're right, although EVER needs to be capitalized so everyone knows it's the coolest thing EVER!
@@angieontour1 You're hilarious!
9:07 is your front 😂
Vaya caras que pones 😂.
Are there giant 4ft tall squirrels??
What? What happened to the bear? Where did it go? Did you scare it and did it run away? What was it eating? Are there other wildlife there?
Hi Angie I have Subscribed to channel and would like to take this time to say that you are a beautiful lady and love your videos .
Hi Angie I live in Toronto Ontario Canada and yourself .
Alright.. who else lost it when she said i had to see it with my own 4 eyes 🤣🤣☠
😂😂
Okay… I’m going to see the general in 2024 🙏
How do these not fall yet trees fall in the forest all the time.🤔
Many of them have fallen, there were quite a few toppled throughout the forest. They are so heavy it happens under the right weather conditions.
@@angieontour1 oh my but what an amazing place 🤩
The Bear is not the problem. Its humanity won't be everywhere
Lothlórien
You ended abruptly, are you ok? Did the bear get you?
unless the bear edited the video and uploaded it, think she's okay :P
The bear did not get me... or this is the bear replying to your comment. Hard to ever know these things for certain.

With nature being so awesome, I wonder why so many people feel the need for silly religions.
