This genuinely looks like it's gonna be the best season yet map wise with all the new mechanics, maps and variations that actually change how you play through the levels.

These variations look sick. I think it's awesome how they're using the tiles to offer branching paths or another layer to some of the maps. Seeing this has me continue to appreciate when variations were first introduced just because of how many ways a stage could get turned on its head.
I love to see variations at the start of the Seasons, it feels more fresh of an update!

EDIT: My favorite variation here is Tundra Run given how silly it is, but you can definitely tell Mediatonic had fun putting these variations together!

I like to think they wanted to add hex tiles for so long but couldnt because they dont respawn, so when they finally made respawnable ones they released EVERYTHING

I just hope they smarten up with HexARing and bring it back to the way it was...It was my favourite final before they ruined it! 😕
What did they do
wait what did they do to it, I played it recently ant it was fine
They totally changed HexARing almost completely....So first off, remaining beans determines how big the ring will be, so if you only have 4 players you have a very small surface to run on....That's not a half bad idea I guess, but they combined it with making the spinning speed SO SLOW...It's just aweful ...You have a hard time determining what your strat should be, you're falling and tripping over tiles all over the place and the tiles disappear so much faster cause everyone is crammed together....I just hate it...Before HexARing was super fast paced, fun, even stressful sometimes depending on how many beans and how good they are, and whether they're aggressive or not, but it was hectic, fun, and I was winning it alot...I was excited to see it. Now I'm mad whenever I see it cause I suck at it and I don't know if the OG one is coming back....Is this just a more frustrating "variation" or did they change it for good? 😕

That looks harder IMO especially during the last part. The increasing speed may end up throwing you further with the antigrav... I think

i really like that they added hexatiles to alot more maps but I feel like it will start getting annoying overtime especially to people that dont enjoy hexagone as much
you can also just kinda not jump in them. seems like they’re just optional in most maps

Basketfall is my favorite cuz of the hexagons and the hoops orbiting it soo theres another way to make a Throw
They are all cool, my favorite is tundra run, roll off and jumping club

I love all the variations great nothing wrong with them but I feel like there could be more non season 2FFA variation especially on season 6 and 1FFA maps

I’m glad that the blast ball are being used because in thad one event where you get the spartan helmet the blast balls made of the boring mss as maps fun
Also only add blast balls to most of every round except race ones they just won’t work
On the jump club variation with hex tiles if you just slow jump on them then they will respawn before out of them it’s a op strat
I think I like the hexagones because they can make alternative routes

You know I have never played leading light, even after playing for a month (i came back, ofc i was a legacy player) and now i want to play it even more
Bro, I love so much the Roll Off Variation, It gave me various wins
i see a few people complaining about the hex tiles being in every map, but its pretty much the only way to make a second path/second way to play that is fair
-only a few people can go on it at a time because the tiles disappear
-probably only adds a small distance ahead of opponents/doesnt add anything if it isnt a race map
-gives people a chance if they arent doing well in the crowd
the only ones i _dont_ like are big fans and jump club
the whole purpose of big fans is timing your jumps to get on the fan blades, but the hex tiles completely negate that. if you can jump at any time it's more of a "who can run the fastest" rather than "who can time the best"
the whole purpose of jump club is to jump over the bar. and thats it, theres nothing else. so why add an optional harder path that gives absolutely nothing to the bean that uses it?
Hope they add these variations at the start of the season and not mid season.

most of these look extremely ugly but at the same time look really fun to play on, we’ll just have to wait and see!
