Those backdoor cuts. Nothing flashy from them, just basics executed flawlessly
reminds me of Princeton beating UCLA way back in the 90's.
And those catch and shoot three point shooter's wasn't playing games with Kentucky..
ua-cam.com/video/r_G0xPVSUEI/v-deo.html
10 and 2 on Kentucky couldn’t stay in front of their man, they were getting beat almost every other highlight
Yeah, disagree. They've got some ice cold shooters on that team. Also, this 3:58
Huge underdogs usually win from building big leads and shooting the lights out. Saint Peters played a complete game and battled back from several deficits including late. Really shows that they earned it
It really helps too when calipari runs the most outdated offense in the whole world according to NBA analysts. Coach Kyle is a fraud
Either way they earned it 😂
I can't believe I'm Alive to see the School I attended win a NCAA Tournament game and against Kentucky. Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Miracles do happen!!! Go PEACOCKS!!!!! Edit: Thank you ALL So much for the Support!!! It was an Incredible RUN!!! Thank you to everyone!!! I appreciate it!! Go PEACOCKS!!!!!!
st peters day*
I graduated from Saint Peter's in 1970 and saw the 1968 defeat of Duke in the NIT. it was wonderful to see Jersey City boy Jim Spanarkel show that Run Baby Run team on prime time NY TV ! This may be the greatest NCAA upset ever! And the icing is to defeat coach CAL, who abondoned the NJ Nets get defeated. Am I awake yet!!!
Normally they're smallcocks, but today they are full on PEACOCKS! WOhoo! GoCOCKS!
Good for you, Michael DePinto.

St. peter’s deserved the win, insane hustle
I'm betting St. Peters would beat Kentucky even worse on the Wonderlic test.
Kentucky will not win another title with so many 'one and dones'. The cats rarely have ANY senior leadership because of most players staying one or two seasons. If Cal would or could recruit some quality 'college' players who gradually develop and actually become great college seniors, then they would have more tournament success.
@@clearviewtechnical you clearly dont know anything about this Kentucky team. You may be right about not winning another chip, but they had 2 seniors 2 juniors and a freshman as their starters.

who is here after the peacocks just beat Purdue to advance to the elite 8 =D first time in history a number 15 seed made it this far in the ncaa tournament. Crazy.
Alhamdulilah!
I'm here because I searched "How do I make my peacock grow" and this was the first video
That was freaking awesome. Kentucky thought it was going to be a cake walk and the Peacocks came to play. March Madness.
Exactly... The "Branded" institutions have always downplayed their "Unsung" opponents until they learn the hard way.
the "Peacocks" imagine getting beat by them 😂
I'm not some hypocritical commentor that had to be right and prove people wrong. But as a kentucky fan, it wasn't really thinking it was a cakewalk. We had a really bad run. All our shooters lost their touch, and there wasn't enough of Oscar thsbiwe to go around. Simply said, this team was nowhere near ready for March.
Embarrassing for Kentucky
Coach Cal has stated that titles are NOT important. He wants to develop players for the NBA. So he gets 4 or 5 of the best high school players each year and they improve and stay one or two seasons. But a team without skilled veteran players (juniors and seniors) will ALWAYS collapse in tournaments. The UK championship with Anthony Davis was a 'one-off' due to his exceptional ability to carry a team.
One of the best NCAA games I've seen. Congrats to St Peter's.
Rule of thumb. Don’t ever take your opponent for granted, especially in March madness. Congrats to St. Peter’s!
Yup
no one will watch your videos if you comment 1000 times in popular videos.... get lost loser

Casual comment. They didn't take them for granted, St Peters just outplayed them and deserved to win/was the better team
@Anthony B nah, if you listened to Cal & uk commentary in pre game, you’d know. UK radio was already talking about playing Murray st next round
As a UK fan, St. Peter’s deserves it.
Bye bye

Charles Barkley predicting Kentucky to go far was like beetlejuice doing mathematics
Racist Barkley is a kiss of death.
All of those Talking Heads on CBS and ESPN have been blowing Kentucky all year . They didn't deserve that 2 spot and robbed Tennessee of it in the seeding
I wonder what will happen to Arizona now 😳

Beautiful basketball by St. Peter's. I played at a small high-school and my Dad was our summer league/club ball coach. He used to always say to us in the huddle, "These guys aren't supermen," when talking about the other team. It was obvious, but exactly what we needed to hear when playing against a bigger school, with "better" athletes. Firstly, it kept the chip on our shoulder. Secondly, just because they have a certain reputation doesn't mean anything, we can win any game.
I love watching any underdog team win a game everyone thought they would lose
and icing on the cake is beating that punk calapari and his one and done recruits
@@msuspartans5139 well Kentucky couldn’t beat horrid garbage so they don’t deserve to advance

@@msuspartans5139 it doesn’t matter St. Peter’s played with more hustle and converted on shots Kentucky would never be able to. Kentucky plaid with no energy that’s their loss. Don’t class on this St. Peter’s team they got heart grow up
@@clearviewtechnical Yeah Cal isn't a college basketball coach, he's an NBA player factory. I couldn't cheer for Kentucky without it being an actual team made of players that aren't just there to show out and then go straight to the NBA
Doug Edert: The hero America didn’t know it needed
What a week for NJ hoops..2 players from NJ score 60 pts and now Saint Pete's with the upset
Well now this was a surprise. Who would have thought that Kentucky would lose to St. Peters? A well deserved victory for them in my opinion.
I did. As a Kentucky fan. I knew we were going to lose when we were only using Oscar. We needed to shoot threes.
Calipari chokes with uber talented teams every year. Even with a team that had 6 first rounders, considered the most talented team of all time, they still didn't win.
I was at this game, and the shift from a quiet crowd in the beginning when St Peter's scored. To nearly the ENTIRE arena cheering for them was overall amazing! Im glad I was able to go and witness it live!
You can see the Saint Peter’s boys turning it on at the end of regulation and better during OT. UK just missed too many free throws and gassed out.
They wasn't gassed out they are calapri out
I am a wildcat fan I bleed blue but isn't it time for a change we don't need 1 and done we need good and stay
Really can't say Kentucky didn't do this, that, and a third. St Peters simply hit shots, handled the rock, hustled, and wanted this win. Good game
More like Cal got out coached as usual. He’s the best recruiter but the man can’t coach & if anyone still says otherwise, they’re probably die hard UK fans.
@@montanaskies2702 i agree

Dancing in the Sweet 16 vs. No. 3 seed Purdue. Go Peacocks! With their All-Around sharp shooting, Saint Peter's has a very good chance to beat Purdue as defense is not the Boilermakers' strong point.
That's a massive win for peacocks and JC. I live in UC , NJ and couldn't be more proud it's a great feeling.
Love to see the MAAC succeed! Congratulations St. Peter’s!!
Bro no cap, I'd never even heard of St. Pete's....... Lol. Great game tho!! Hopefully they the cinderella...
@@lorriesbabydaddy5370 believe me, I don’t fault you for not knowing. I grew up in upstate NY watching the Siena Saints play teams like St. Pete in the MAAC conference. The only way any of those teams make the March tournament is if they win their conference tournament. (I believe) So most people don’t know any of the schools exist.

@@sergiodominguez3937 Ha you thought that was bad I literally thought Longwood,Indiana and Colorado State to win
1/8 free throws in OT caused Kentucky this upset loss.
nah, shooting horribly and playing horrible defense caused Kentucky this upset loss, not just overtime.
@@dannyrios2004 It is a tight game so therefore both teams are playing well. It’s the crucial missed free throws by Mintz and Wheeler at OT that caused the turnaround. They wasted Tshiebwe’s full effort and A-game.
Edit: Wheeler’s unforced error and bad pass to Tshiebwe in the post affected the outcome.
@@luckyaces2487 Face it, it was Oscar (and the YMCA boys) versus St. Peter's today.
@@thomadams7621 Yes it was the scenario this whole game. I know the guards not shooting pretty well at this game but cmon now, at least make those crucial free throws. It is easy to blame the coach but this is a sport where a missed point is the reason you can lose. Players I mentioned above need to be accountable too.
How about the loss starting at the top. Coach Cal lack of adjustment throughout the entire game. Being out coached, lack of preparation of his team. Could someone please explain to Cal when, how and why to use your timeouts! During regulation with 3 min to go a 6 point lead. They go to a zone and take the lead without you scoring. Seems like a good time to use one of those timeout before they took the lead. 20 seconds left in regulation tied up you have the last shot. Another time to take a timeout to setup a play. Surely they would of gotten a better shot than what they actually got. Sure the guards were outplayed, but out coached as well... kinda takes you back to the Wisconsin game were we was leading and they made a run and won the game in the final minutes. No timeout called during that time by Cal...
I was at this game, all 4 in Indy that night. By far one of the best basketball games I've ever seen.
I loved seeing all of the shots that weren't right under the rim or beyond the arc. It seems like those are the only places people shoot, so having a little variety in where people shoot from is nice.
Threes are the new 15 footer. You can close out so fast against a mid range shot unless you're kevin Durant, who is blessed with height and releases the ball way above his head, it's not worth it
Just watched this game while visiting my relatives in Jersey City. I dedicate this amazing win to my cousin saint peter's was her alma mater ✊❤ I 👀 you Peacocks !
i bet she was so hyped about that win
I'm from Jersey City I still work there. We are all walking around with our chests out lol.
This game is as memorable as anything I’ve ever witnessed. The best thing about sports is you get to play against somebody else in the best man, and the best team wins. It doesn’t matter who’s the better in the long run, and who is the better team overall but at one game they were better. And last night, they were obviously better. It’s that simple. It was unbelievable to watch. Kentucky had a great season. What those young kids did last night I was glad I watched to see history. Honestly, hats off to Shaheen Holloway he played terrific, and I mean terrific basketball! He went up, and he played an extraordinarily hard university team to beat let alone program throughout history honestly in America, and I’m not just saying that! John Calipari is a household name, and his university Kentucky is arguably One of the biggest names of all of college basketball, and The University of Kentucky is world-renowned, and his basketball team at Kentucky is known all over in all States, and this team that he had this year was incredibly difficult to defeat, especially during the tournament this is hard to do, and to do that takes a major effort. John Calipari is a very good coach, and his players this year were extraordinarily talented. Kudos to him. You have to give it to the peacocks they played unbelievable Basketball. The moral of this story is that hard work goes a long way. There is nothing that you cannot do. I mean that. It’s not just true with basketball it’s beyond Basketball it’s true in life. It’s how you pick yourself back up after failure. You can never underestimate yourself. This little team did just that. They believed in themselves. Anything is possible in life if you believe in yourself. You have to challenge yourself. Number 15 beating number 2 speaks for itself. Anything is possible! There is nothing that you cannot do if you believe in yourself. Hard work rewards you! 👍

And what a treat to have Ian Eagle on the call! And THIS is why college b-ball is always better than the NBA.
This is what Kentucky gets tbh.. Refs were calling so many fouls for them and not Saint Peter's, they deserved to brick those free throws and take the L

So...so proud of my school!
The ultimate bracket buster.
St. Peter's reminds me of those Wichita State teams from early 2010s. They had a lil bit of everything and underrated
Those Wichita state teams had 3 players who played in the NBA. They had one All Star in Van Vleet. They had other pros besides just those three as well. This team isn’t close to that talented. They played like it today though.
@Josh A your last sentence was literally the point of my post. I didn't need an analysis. Everyone knows who they were.. but before they were that, they looked liked this. In college.. you goofy clown..
@@Stcksj Name calling for pointing that out? Nice. Sorry St. Peter’s just isn’t anything like those Wichita St teams. The main reason why? Wichita was one of the 20 best teams in CBB by any metric that 1st year and then even better for a couple of years after that. St Peters isn’t In top 100.
@Josh A another analytic need. Just each the games, it's easier. The got that sauce. So shut up and enjoy. They won again today btw!
@@Stcksj I loved seeing them win again. It was incredibly enjoyable. I’m assuming you are trying to say analytic “nerd.” Sorry “just watching the games” leads to mountains of cognitive biases. If you only watch the games, you literally don’t know more than 25% (maybe) of what is happening, strengths and weaknesses of teams, and you will be especially clueless in predicting outcomes. That’s because our brains are really bad at processing large amounts of data and finding signal in the noise. Anyone who actually understands basketball, loves numbers and can interpret data. They also love watching basketball. Has to be both.

As a Wildcats fan-(AZ not Kentucky) this is why March Madness is the best time to watch college basketball because it's the upsets that make this tournament a roller-coaster
This is actually insane . I thought all the #1 through #3 seeds were really strong this year . I thought UK would be going to the sweet 16 at least
Kentucky was criticized by many to be a 3 seed. And the 1 seeds have been somewhat overhyped. The second round matchups will be extremely tough for Gonzaga kansas and baylor.
All of our starting guards got hurt in February it is not a shock. All reasonable fans Kentucky knew we weren't going far

this was the start to the greatest tournament run of all time
John Calipari lost his touch to be a coach of a strong CATS team. Kentucky needs a new Coach.
Everybody seems to be blaming Coach Cal but 1/8 free throws in OT caused them this game. Players got to be accountable on this shocking loss too.
He's not a coach. He's a recruiter
Wish Kenny Payne was still available
I think that's a pretty huge overreaction. Who are they going to get that's better? Odds are whatever coach they get won't be as successful in recruiting, which is ultimately the most important aspect to being a potential national championship contender. So yeah, that would be a horrible decision to fire him.
