Im so glad you mentioned it feels so much slower than it actually is going ! i am sure KTM have found and patented time travel in the super dukes because i feel like im doing 50 ish look down and im like jeez 3 digits ! eek how KTM have managed to do this to this bike i dont know but i loves it....
These bikes don't retain thier value as well as one thinks. You can get that 2015 model with low mileage for about 10k used. So... It drops almost twice in price in just 3 years.
Road Revz where are u getting them for $10k?????? US??? I Live in utah and I can't find them used for Less that $15k and you're talking very used at that price. In 2017 I looked at the new gen SDR but with dealer markup , out the door all fees and Licensing was looking at around $22,500!!!!???? Yikes!!!! I ended up going with the new 2017 Yamaha FZ10 , the new naked R1 , japans first ever Supernaked and won bike of the year accross the board in '17, impressive considering the completition of the much awaited new gen SDR, and tuono factory update. Went FZ10 becaue it had an msrp $5,000 LESS than the SDR but beat it in most the comparison tests in '17 even with 15 less hp, but the way the crossplane 4 from the R1 retuned makes power it spins up faster than anything g out there giving it the quickest 0-60mph of any production bike on earth, ever'! SO numbers are irrelevant. Ended up getting mine at launch out the door no fees for $9,200!!! Dealer ordered too many !' My gain! Literally half the cost of the same year SDR, but beat it out in so many tests. Bang for buck nothing better than the FZ10,. I'll tell ya tho, when shopping I looked at a new EBR 1190R, they were like $19,000 new but when EBR was going bankrupt they dumped all their inventory, essentially a superduke with American made parts that final year went for $12,500 new!!!!talk about a bargain! Although for me, buying a new bike when the manufacturer would no longer be around was sketchy!!! Lol they said KTM dealers would service them being the KTM powerplant but still. I've heard of guys that bought in the final month of Ebrs existence dumping the end of inventory rather than writing it off, guys were getting new 0 mile 1190rs for $8,500!!!! Now that would have been worth it! A SDR for $8,500 lol
Hey, I'm looking at buying a second hand 2015 Superduke, its completely stock. Has anyone had any reliability issues with a Superduke before? Ive never had a KTM.
Find your local KTM shop and talk with their mechanic. From what I've heard though, shouldn't be any issues unless the previous owner didn't keep up with maintenance.
I agree with Jonathan's advice. You may have already bought the bike, but I have a 2016 (my first KTM as well) and have had no real issues. The only item I have needed to replace so far was the clutch safety switch (it would get stuck in the depressed position).
There's always some asshole that talks about tuonos ON superduke videos. If you are team aprilia why are you watching ktm videos? I know the beast is better, but dont cheat and stay on your side of the fence and watch the beast eat up the competition:)
I'm guessing this is an older video being that you mentioned the Yamaha FZ1 lol I left my 2015 Yamaha R1 and went to the Supernaked class , supersport performance ina comfortable ride. Before buying I tried the superduke R , the Aprilia Tuono v4 1100 Factory , s1000r and man I loved emu all, loved the torque of the SDR but man $18,000+ ouch, worth it yes but I ended up going with the new naked R1 , (Yamaha MT10) japans first ever Supernaked , liteyears beyond the cb1000r , gsxs1000, , z900, not even close, the MT10 is $5,000 less than the SDR and wind bike of the year 2017 at launch accross the board which says a lot considering the hugely awaited new gen Superduke came out same year as well as a greatly updated Tuono Factory 1100 which is known as the greatest Supernaked track weapon ever, so for a YAMAHA , first try at the Supernaked scene going against the world best track Snaked Tuono and the king on Snakeds the SDR, and to beat them out for bike of the year is insane, also beat them in a lot of comparisons , I paid $9,200 OUT THE DOOR NEW for mine ; that's literally half the price of the superduke and no it does not have the insane torque of the SD but only 10 less hp , and it's actually quicker to 60 mph than any production. bike on earth , even the SDR. If money was no object I'd love a '17 superduke R but I'm not rich so I'll take the half as expensive bike of the year MT10. If you haven't. Tried riding the MT10 (FZ10) u really should!
The MT10 has nothing to do with the superduke. Its heavier like 20kg more, less powerfull, near 20hp less, more fuel consumption +3 liters per 100km... Dashboard outdated, not hidraulic cluth... MT10 is in another league.
Gurupurkha Khalsa was thinkin the same thing! Your hands are priceless , eff them up and life changes!! I actually have tried a million pairs of different kinds and honestly my favorite hands down are my combat gloves, Oakley tactical SI Combat gloves , Oakley contracts with the US DOD for them to produce specifically more durable and advantage based tactical combat gloves for all US special forces, preferred and used in the Middle East by most SOF. Oakley makes of course riding gloves that look pretty identocal but they are definitely different. I've heard you can't get them as their on. Back order where they all shop overseas to the bases and FOBs but if you can get your hands on the these gloves that are like their motorcycle riding gloves for sport riding but they are engineered specifically for extended combat tours in the Middle Eastern environments of Afghanistan and Iraq , the carbon fiber knuckle protection actually has padding on the hand side for hand to hand combat and blunt force blows so you don't break knuckles and hands but break heads with contact, the palm side is a special engineered leather that's 4 times stronger than their riding gloves designed to last multiple tours hopping over the sandstone like half walls and jagged. Terrain, , they also are coated with a polymer silicone that grips like no other, actually have to nearly throw your service weapon to get it out ur hand ! Grips underwater too, minor knuckle protection on all the others and vents for breathing as well. All in all they are insane!! I use them to ride too lol and they're by far best gloves I've used.
I owned a Tuono v4 1100 RR and nothing comes close to it in the twisties But as a daily bike that you wont take to the track more than a couple of times , the SDR is the way to go Track junky : Tuono Street hooligan : SDR
L - Kay ya; sold my 2015 R1 and went Supernaked , tried the tuono V4 1100 Factory and LOVED it!! Loved the cosmetics too, the RSV4 tail , absolute top of the line race components , definitely more expensive at $18,000 than the RR , the rr is definitely one of the bargains of bargains! They say it's the absolute closest naked /Supernaked to a superbike , literally and RSV4 with flat bar, retune and 71 more cc's ! Guy at our track sold his RSV4 track bike and got the 1100 factory tuono and actually improved his time, it's a tighter track so capitalization out of the corners, he whoops on the supersports lol I worried about the Aprilia reliability tho, here in the us I've heard a lot of scary stories lol, crazy expensive services , repairs etc and no aprilia dealer within 1200 miles of me inhad to pass on the dream, loved the superduke but again $18,000 as well , ended up going the new naked R1, Yamaha MT10 )2017) of course is down 15 hp on the factory but is Japan's first supernaked and won bike of the year in its debut , quickest 0-60mph of any production bike on earth, ever, and actually took first place in a lot of the Supernaked comparisons for 2017 which says a lot about it considering the competition! Of course it was overall tests not jsut track where the tuono doniates ALL! How reliable has your tuono been? Always curious for real world answers . In the end I Love the R1, the crossplane 4 sounds very aprilia v4 when decated , bike of the year and &5,000 less than a factory , for mine new $3,800 under msrp, literally half the price of the factory. For me and my poor blood it was the choice to make.
The Super Duke is the best bike I ever owned ! 2016 1290 R
Nice! I fell in love with it right away..
Same here..
I've got a deposit on a 18 month old '18 model which is stuck in dealer as they're shut due to C19, it's driving me crazy 😨😨
Oof... I bet you're just waiting to get your baby out lol

Great video bro I love your videos and keep grinding to make those videos
OklahomaFishing Thanks!!
I own a 2015 Superduke R and a 2023 Duke 890R and my 1290R feels slower and less agressive than the 890R but it's a lot faster !
Hello sir can help me out to buy exhaust for KTM 390 Duke

Like any other bike dude... Its not a Ducati V4 Turbo GP 1 of 20.... Thats why bikes must be purchased from second hand. Not worth it new.
Even duke 390 scares me... Just throttle it and it goes whoooooossssssss.... Insane bikes
The 390 is a suprisingly nice in town bike isn't it? Needs a fuel controller though, bad.
Its a beast if you put a k&n filter and repro it... It transforms like a beast and +8hp for sure.

Every time somebody mentions SuperDuke, fuktards mention the Aprilia tuono.
Buy a Buel for a tenth the price
Lmao
Bahahahaha! Great joke
