The headlamp washing system is a real rarity. I've seen it on the 412 but never in the Beetle. The tank's that much bigger than the normal one and, unlike in the Type 4, the same tank supplies the windscreen and headlamps. Presumably mandatory in the region it was imported.

Hat aber auch seinen Preis € 18.500,- was ca. DM 37.000,- entspricht, da hätte man wenigstens 5 Stück von Kaufen können, was für eine Wertsteigerung.
Ein Freund hatte den moosgruenen Big, aber der blaue gefiel mir schon damals besser. Das Nonplusultra der Käfertechnik war relativ preiswert zu haben. Erst heute erkennt man den wahren Wert.
Lovely colour. Do you know the colour name/ code? I'm about to fully restore my own 1303s (also blue,.. actually Ontario Blue) but would like to go for something like what you show here.
1973 has a different air vent on the dashboard, different headlamps (3 screws with a outside metal ring), different tachometer, different front suspension (3 bolts on base), different glovebox and different internal fabrics. I've a 1974 superbeetle, I know it 😊

Die Spekulantenschweine haben eben zu viel Kohle zum verschleudern.

Mine was 74 European 1303s with flat protruding headlight glasses which were not US mandated DOT sealed beam.
