They are relevant. But for the wrong reason. They have good messages, but they have impossible goals and far-fetched ideas that will never become realities.
@@anxiousbottle well, the 2 year increase for retirement age is the drop of water that makes the vase overflow. There's massives prices inflation (up to 15%), which are scandalous because our economy is relatively well, big entreprises have huge profits and the government is doing nothing to block the prices, so people have difficulties. The political situation is very tense, since the 2022 elections there's no clear majority between the leftist aliance (NUPES), the liberals (Renaissance) and the extreme right (RN ) which are hating each others. But our president, e. Macron, had been penibly reelected during the 2nd tour of the presidential elections last year, not because most people liked him (he's arrogant, distant and his neoliberal reforms are unpopular), but because most of the people want to avoid the RN (which was created after ww2 by fascists and supporters of the former nazi puppet state of Vichy France) to take the power. Our constitution gave large power to the president, so he can force laws to pass even if he hadn't any majority in the parliament. More than a dozen laws had pass like this for less than a year, which makes us angry. We also have a unique social system with free Healthcare and many help and pensions from the state that was created by the communists after ww2, but the liberals want to destroy it and create a liberal state like England or the US because of their absurd ideology. Because of them, living conditions are regressing for years, peoples really feared that life will become harder, while the bourgeoisie get unceasing profits. Macron says that this reform is needed because of financial problems, but it will spare only 7 billions euros, which is really few. Peoples are angry because various scandals had been revealed about massive tax frauds, corruption and waste of money by macron's government and the riches who are backing him, and incomprehensible privatization of very profitable entreprises (like our highway, we are speaking about billions of euros) . There's also a lot of police brutality, hundreds of peaceful demonstrators have been wounded by the police, and thousands have been arrested and then quickly released just for intimidate them. And you know, we're proud and grumpy, and we love to demonstrate and make governors shit in their pants. So, you see that there's a lot of reasons of the recent huge demonstrations.

There will never be freedom in Capitalism. Freedom to the individual and society cannot be achieved when the means of production is held by unelected individuals who only care for profit. Freedom comes when Corporate meddling in state affairs and the endless exploitation of the people is ceased. Long live socialism and the eternal brotherhood of the proletarians. Long live Democracy and freedom. VIVE LA RÉVOLUTION!
Socialist songs are immortal, whether released in 1968 or 2023, they still hold relevant.

The commune failed, though. Socialist takeovers were attempted several times such as in 1871 and 1968, and they all failed.
