Rebecca makes some of the best car reviews but the audio quality in your videos is just unpleasant, dear Telegraph Cars people.
I have had the new Ford S-Max for two weeks and to be honest it's great bit of kit and I have no complaints the one thing I can say it's well built and I feel safe while at the wheel it's a great drive I love it to bits.
Well it's December and the car is doing fine the only real issue I have is the MPG at 35.5 its a 2.0 TDCI with 180PS and 400Nm torque and I don't push the car but I'm not happy with the MPG otherwise it's a perfect family wagon.
It's now Feb 2017 and MPG has dropped further to 34.6 / 34.7 I did take the car back to Fords to question this and they told me that's good and I'm doing well the problem is I don't agree as prior to this I had a 14 Plate S-max 1.6 TDCi and I got close to 50MPG around town but the engine is gutless with very little power it's my fault this review points out MPG as a possible issue but guess what I ignored the advice and now I'm paying the price. :(
Alan Butterfield Hi mate is yours automatic? 35mpg is indeed very disappointing, but if it's an auto it is to be expected. My 1.6 tdci grand c-max manual returns 60.2 mpg but I've had it remapped, I'm very happy with the torque now holds 6th gear all day long on motorways even the steep ones, but gotta say it smokes a bit when being pushed with rpm passing 3K, 40k miles after remap and I'm having no issues with clutch or anything since. Anyway I really like the Smax altogether it's just so handsome 😀
I own a MK1 SMax. Best car I have ever owned. 150k and not a single problem. I would like to see them justify the below average reliability!

3 isofix points in the centre - great. Fit three child seats across in safety - wonderful. Just one thing - once they're in how exactly are you meant to use the rear seats?

shape and the inside is just as good.

Well it's 31st March 2017 and the MPG has improved to 35.2 and I have done 4665 Miles so things are getting better and as a whole I'm very happy just love this car to bits it never fails to impress me as a people carrier.

The front is nicer than the previous design but it looks like they've narrowed it down in the upper rear area.
Handsome car, but the old one looks better. And why no manual gearbox with the more powerful engines? The whole point of the car is to be a big car that's enjoyable to drive. You could get the old one with a 6-speed manual and the 2,5T engine from the Focus ST, wich is a really fun car to drive.

Hi I'm back and just 24 hours ago I picked up the new Ford S-Max Titanium sport 180PS model and it's a very quick car you get such pulling power from 2nd gear its just amazing you can feel the 295 F/Pounds or 400Nm low down in the rev range it's a step up from the previous generation S-max it's a absolute pleasure to drive and would ask anyone thinking about getting one then please do you won't be sorry.
I've been looking at the same 180ps titanium sport. Have you still got it? How has it been?

Looks good but I hate to think what the price will be. Manufacturers are pricing their cars a little bit crazy these days. Not everyone wants all these fancy gadgets in their cars and just want a basic runaround to get back and forth.

They are lying, the zafira tourer 2014 2ltr diesel auto se is much noticeably less economical than the s max 2ltr 180 titanium 2018, i owned the zafira but changed to the s max 6 months due to the ulez.
What's with the audio?

***** First of all why are you insulting me? Secondly, that shark nose has always been part of Aston. True, this specific iteration of it was done under Ford, but that doesnt make it right, seeing a fucking Ford with an Aston nose. It looks lame, because simply put, it's not an Aston, in the same way it would be stupid of BMW to put a Rolls nose or taillights on their cars trying to immitate Rolls.
