All the Marbles - Idora Park, Youngstown, Ohio

Here's a scene from a very early 80's movie with Peter Falk playing a guy who manages a women's wrestling team.
The movie was shot in and around Youngstown, Ohio. This scene was filmed at the long-gone Idora Amusement Park.
Cheesy movie yes, but interesting to see old Youngstown sites that don't exist anymore.

I was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio and spent my childhood at wonderful Idora Park where this movie scene was shot. At .25 mark the lady with the blonde hair, grey sweater and eating popcorn is my beloved late Mom. She & I went to the auditions for this movie. This was 1980 and she was 40 years old. It was bitterly cold when this scene was filmed and it was only fall. I recently found her paycheck among her possessions as an "extra" sent to her from Hollywood as payment. She met Peter Faulk and had been always been a fan of his. I have some video of my Mom over the years that I am looking for, but for now I know I have this small glimpse of her that I cherish.

@@bubbles9975 Hi! Thank you so very much for the compliment. She really looked less than her 78 years when she unexpectedly and suddenly had a heart attack Jan. 2017. Yes, she was an extra in The Hitman -there was a church scene but for some reason I never did see the movie and don't know if she was on screen. I loved Boardman High! Did you? I am going back in July for our class of Class of 75 reunion. As the years go by it gets smaller and smaller so just go when you can! Did you move away?

How was the mud wrestling scene? What did your mom though of it?

Spent a lot of summers in the 70’s at that “dump”. And still have great memories of it.

This was shot in the winter,,,So the park was closed for the season during this filming..

I met Mr.Falk at a book signing. Columbo was my nickname. One of his painting is at the Butler Arm Institution.
