- I realized I’ve had Roadhog sitting in the back of my videos for months now and I’ve never drawn him despite doing many Overwatch focussed episodes. So we’re starting this episode by correcting that!

In this episode of What if Overwatch Characters were in Dungeons and Dragons, we’re turning Roadhog, Junkrat, Moira, Hanzo and Doomfist into DnD characters. Hanzo is our Warrior King, Doomfist a Goliath, Moira a Tiefling sorceress, Junkrat a Goblin junker and Roadhog a Hog Folk outlaw.

I'd like to see Symmetra as a Tiefling Bard, or Mei as a Druid. . . Maybe even Sigma as a Goliath Sorcerer.
Mei would obviously be a Wizard specializing in Cold-based spells, swapping her ice gun for some ornate wand.
sigma can be a warforged(definitively not a joke with megaman X)

Alrighty. Would love to see famous celebrities as super heroes.
Specifically: Bob Ross, Amy Winehouse, Bill Nye, and Keanu Reeves.
Maybe even famous UA-camrs:
Such as Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, MatPat from Game and Film Theory, and of course, Pewds.
I’ve actually been thinking about something like this and have been doing a bit of practice doing likenesses. I’ve never been great at doing representations of real people :P Gotta work on that a bit more before I take on a vid like this!

The stories you give the characters are always amazing and it’s surprising how well they fit into D&D
Some ideas i had:
Winston: some kind of beast or monster given inteligence with magic, can be tide into tracers story as the wizard/mage that helped make her cronal gem thingy
Ashe and bob : ashe would come from a family of high class nobles, but get bored of that life and run off to start the dreadlock pirates, and bob could be some kind of golem that served ashes family (tiny pirate hat!)
Orisa and efi: efi whould be a member of a tribe of satyrs or fauns that lived in a forest on the outskirts of gibralt. She whould be intrigued by magic at a young age and go on to be a revered sorcerer. But this brought negitive attention as there were raiders who wanted to aquire efi's knowledge. With not much to defend their tribe, efi tasked herself with creating a guardian for her tribe. Using her knowledge of magic she crafted orisa from the nature around her, and gave her emotion with a special keystone fused with the spirit of her late younger sister.
JaT 23 I was actually thinking the same thing Winston. The only difference is that I pictured him as a specific monster: a gargoyle. He was a wizard’s familiar who learned magic from his master: a rarity among wizards and gargoyles alike. Specifically, he learned thunder magic, being able to shoot bolts of lightning from his hands. Along with magic, Whipstaff (his name in this world) was also imbued with a “sun stone”: a creation of an alchemist that allows gargoyles to be active during the day. Unfortunately, the stone’s power made him feral, losing all the intellect and magic he learned from his master whenever the sun was out. That is, until a War Forged monk came and taught Whipstaff meditation techniques to keep this solar power at bay. This of course also ties in with my D&D Zenyatta, the War Forged monk I mentioned earlier.
Do some thing crazy like a dungeon and dragon meca Godzilla

PLEASE tell me you've got all this lore collected/written-down somewhere. I freaking LOVE worldbuilding, and yours is surprisingly well-done for having such an off-the-cuff feel to how you deliver it.
Plot twist: junkrat is a were-rat hobgoblin
I imagine mako and the junker as bebop and rocksteady saying “my man!”every 10 seconds
Oh! Classic universal studios monsters (dracula, Frankenstein, etc) drawn as a villain/anti-hero/hero! Might be a fun idea and I loved the video as well.

Love these ideas! Tieflings usually face discrimination because of their fiendish heritage, so maybe Moira's amoral attitude towards magical research stems from a perception that morality is a tool that ignorant people use to justify their biases.
Ideas for future characters in the series:
Widowmaker: A drow assassin, either with a longbow or a crossbow. In a twist from the original story, her husband is being held hostage by the Shimada Empire, and Hanzo is forcing her to serve him as an assassin in exchange for his life.
Winston: a bugbear barbarian. They're a race that's related to goblins, but much bigger and hairier. He and his tribe were forced to serve as slaves in a fortress controlled by evil mages, until he led a revolt against the mages, and pledged his tribe's service to Gibralt to fight against injustice.
Zenyatta: a warforged monk. Dedicated to bringing peace and enlightenment to the world, Zenyatta has left the mountain monastery of the Shambali Order to find refugees displaced by the Shimada Empire's conquests, and lead them to safety.
Symmetra: a light cleric. A priestess of the sun god Vishkar, Symmetra has rebelled against the corrupt leaders of the temple of Vishkar, who have sworn loyalty to the Shimada Empire.

I also stand by that there needs to be a Sigma one... but I’m still LOVING all of these drawings!
But just a suggestion for the Sigma drawing (no pressure, get to it when you can) would be for him to be a Wizard/Sorcerer multiclass. As for his race I see him as being either a Goliath or another abnormally tall race, and he was driven insane because of one of DnD Moira’s experiments that went wrong.
But that’s just me, take you time, and once again, AWESOME artwork!!

I’m happy UA-cam has decided to recommend this series to me. Now I’m interested in that if you get around to doing more, what you’re take on Sombra would be. Cause I already have a D&D character inspired by her in a campaign myself and a few friends are doing, but it would be cool to see how you approach her D&Dfied self, and see what the differences would be (other than the fact your one is set in a D&Dfied Overwatch world and mine isn’t). Other than that, those are pretty cool designs and I appreciate that you made Junkrat a Goblin.

Yes! definitely a good call! Actually considered her for this episode, but figured she’d be too similar to my DnD Mr Freeze from the Batman episode recently and decided to hold off drawing her until a future ep :P

You should make an entire video dedicated to telling all there stories together in order to make one big story that switches between characters and stuff (in chronological order)
Oooh, that would be cool! I’ve been thinking about doing a big crazy mural with all the characters once we’ve covered every character, and doing a big final tale with all of them.... of course that would take a really long time so if I do it it might have to be slowly built up as a side project :P
with how the story is unfolding, the shimada empire or at least the higher ups, well equivilant to talon... which could make sence that the splinters from when hanzo got back in power, formed this other group and first thing they do is bring in powerfull characters, reaper, moira and doomfist who eventually end up becoming the "public faces" for their new group

I think this is building up to the following (this is ONLY with the characters introduced so far). A huge battle in Jibralt, between our D&D Overwatch and the Shimada empire, led by Hanzo (whose secretly given the team info), Doomfist and a vengeful Reaper. The advisors are hiding in a secret base protected by the non-Hanzo villains. Hanzo reveals the location to Overwatch and the fight begins. To sum up, Ranger 76 and Reaper fight 1 on 1, Hanzo and Genji fight 1 on 1 and Doomfist fights everyone else. Genji and Hanzo talk after Genji reveals himself. He convinces Hanoi to join him and the two join the fight against Doomfist, by far the strongest one there. 76 slices Reapers neck, defeating him. 76 can't bring himself to kill his friend again, so tells him to leave. He turns to help fight Doomfist, but gets stabbed in the back by Reaper, who laughs. 76 dies forgiving his former friend for everything. Reaper is surprised by the turn, and chooses to let Mccree remove his head with a sword, after they connect with each other over respect for 76. In the end, Doomfist is finally killed, when Torjin sacrifices himself to allow the team a chance to destroy his arm. The rest of the team overcome him and he dies while bleeding out, cursing the team that beat him. Hanzo kneels before Genji and offers him the crown, but Genji let's Hanzo keep it, as long as the advisors and Moira are arrested and Jibralt is freed. Hanzo agrees and takes over allowing all survivors to have a happy ending. The end.
Next episode should have Ashe,Bob Widow, Brig and Winston

Hi great Video! I have been subscribed to you for a fairly long time and really love your drawings. When you published the video where you show Autodesk sketchbook (Alita vs Venom) I was very interested. So I downloaded it, tried it out for myself and absolutely adored it. Just that I cant seem to get smooth lines and coloring right. So I thought it would bei cool If you did a video showing your brushes, how to get them, your process of drawing something or maybe your settings (for example how big your canvas is, as already mentioned the brushes you use, how you do your sketches and layers,.. etc)
Of course you do not have to do it, it is your decision, I just thougt it could help some people, myself included! Honestly you deserve more recognition. Have a great day and greatings from Austria!
Awesome to hear! And I actually do have a vid breaking down how I colour in Sketchbook pro here ua-cam.com/video/j90Fna3zs84/v-deo.html It’s got my brushes in it too at the 2 minute mark! To do cleaner lines I sometimes use the ‘Steady stroke’ function. It’s in the mid left of the toolbar and can really help with straight, smother lines!

If you do a round 5, you should do Some of the tanks like Winston as a Girallon or try do something with wrecking ball, also I think sombra would be interesting in D&D. :)
Please do Zenyatta, I main him in Overwatch and I think you could do a great design and story for him. Also, you should do Winston as the artificer that helps tracer.
Eggo Boy He already did that. Torbjorn was the artificer, and he’s a dwarf. Winston’s most likely the wizard who helped Tracer. A lot of people want him to be a monster wizard.
I mean Winston work as your wizard for tracers thing and I think Zenyatta would be absolutely sick and sigma as some shimada empire advisor. and i love this series it's amazing because play DnD in my spare time with friends and i play overwatch all the time.

I just found this series, and I would like to suggest Symmetra to be a light-based Warlock, and Vishkar is her patron representing the Law/Order side of the great wheel. So that she is not necessarily out to bring out "good", but just raw "justice" in the most lawful aspect possible.
This would also clash with your story for Lúcio, mirroring their animosity in the base Overwatch game.

You should add a colorful glow on floating objects it makes them look like they are floating because of magic rather then frozen in air.

Quick question: For the redraw submissions, do big, complicated characters get a less chance than simpler characters? (For example like a Kaiju over a superhero)
I’d say anything is fair game! Especially for the Venomized episode detailed is fine because, while my style tends to lean away from super intricate detailing, venomizing stuff means I can simplify some elements with venom-y goop if need be :P And I always love when there is a good variety of submission characters. The scrappy one was a blast because we got monsters, heroes, robots etc. Whatever you’re excited to make in whatever detail level is totally great for submitting! :D
