I'm 56yrs old & grew up with all the old classic rock & metal of the 70's & 80's & now I put Babymetal in with all of them, Zeppelin, AC/DC, Sabbath, Van Halen, etc. Last September I drove 300 miles to see them in St. Paul, MN & then in October I flew to Los Angeles to see them at the Forum for their 1st ever arena show in the USA, so yeah, they're pretty big. The concert in LA was the best show I've ever seen & there is a official DVD from that show being released this month. I usually don't subscribe to a channel until they react to another band from Japan "BAND-MAID", but for your girls I'm going to make this a rare exception. Great job & more Babymetal would be great. I think you'll be surprised by what Babymetal has to offer and many of their songs bring such a positive message. Take care.
Thank you so much for the sub you are truly amazing. I have had another request for Band-Maid so we will for sure check them out. Thank you for your support your a legend.
@@shaycegaming Band-Maid is "hard rock" & are the best I've heard in 30yrs. I also flew to NYC last September to see both of their sold out shows. Band-Maid is so good in my eyes that it doesn't even matter what song you would chose to react to, but I will say that their live performances are better than the MV's.
Babymetal is VERY popular, actually more popular overseas than in Japan. They're celebrating their 10th anniversary. They've gone on a few world tours and were touring the US and Europe this year, but part of it was cancelled due to the virus. They've done collabs with Judas Priest, opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns n Roses, Metallica, Lady Gaga and were featured on The Stephen Colbert Show as well. Their most recent album Metal Galaxy reached #1 on the Rock Billboard chart and #13 overall.
I really had no idea how big they were. But really that is why we started the channel but I thought the girls would be learning most of the stuff, I am glad that we did these vids, seems a lot of people really like the band. Thank you so much for the support and watching the vid.
@@mariomariolemieux982 1st to break into the Top 40....there have been other Japanese bands on the Billboard charts (i.e. X-Japan, Perfume etc..) but none broke the plane since Kyu Sakamoto had a #1 single "Sukiyaki" ("Bittersweet") back in 1963.
This is the 10 year anniversary for Babymetal. Su-metal is 22 and Moametal is 20, Yui left the group in 2018 for health reasons. I'll let your girls do the math to how old they were in 2010. The have been performing professionally since the age of 6. There are too many awards for performing, album sales, etc to list, check Wikipedia. Hammer metal magazine (UK) have announced that Babymetal has been voted one of the TOP TEN metal bands of ALL TIME!! They have sold-out the LA Forum, the Wembley arena ( first Japanese band to perform there) and in Japan they sold-out the Tokyo Dome 2 nights in row, capacity 55,000. They are huge world-wide. Everyone BE SAFE, sheltering in California.
Man I appreciate the information so much. I am amazed at the response we have gotten from this one video. Thank you so much for your support we truly appreciate it.
@@shaycegaming Thank you, when your ready there is another Japanese band you should check, Band-Maid. Many of us who fans of Babymetal are fans of Band-Maid. 5 very talented ladies.
I've been a metal/rock/alternative fan my whole life. I spent my youth listening to GNR, Metallica etc. I still listen regularly to Pearl Jam, Linkin Park. I can't hear the words "rat in a cage" without "despite all the rage" popping into my head. And I've loved BM for years. I saw them live in London in February, amazing. You can't beat the energy of a BM concert. What's great about them is that their fans are of all ages, young and old. You should look up some of their live stuff. Headbanger, Road of Resistance, or more recently fan recordings of BMC. Their range of styles is crazy.
The hand gesture is the sign of the fox. The band's mythology is that the three girls were chosen by the Fox God to be the champions of heavy metal. They do that instead of the devil horns sign used by many metal fans. Questions in interviews they can't or won't answer are responded to with "Only the Fox God knows." In Japanese myth foxes are magical figures, given to trickery.
Thank you for the explanation, I am sure when the girls read the comments they will be very interested to learn that. Thank you so much for the support we truly appreciate it.
Just for reference, their 3rd album hit #13 on Billboards "Hot 200" and #1 on Billboards "Top Rock Album". So they are not just Big in Japan, but they are "Big" Worldwide!! Put your Kitsune UP!! Po! (and youtube is deleting my posts again...grrr...this is my 3rd attempt to post a comment)
I am sorry if they are deleting some things you are writing. From the response I am getting on this video this soon I would agree with you that they are very big around the world. Thank you for the support. We truly appreciate it.
I'll tell you how big BABYMETAL is then : they are the first Japanese band to ever reach number 1 on the Metal/Rock Album charts in the US after the release of their third album back in October 2019. They have toured with Korn, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lady Gaga and Metallica to name a few. They even taught the guys from Metallica their dance routine to one of their songs backstage. They have won not one but two International Music Awards for "Best Live Act" and have sold out the legendary Tokyo Dome with 55,000 people two nights in a row for a total of 110,000 people. They also have had a lot of support from Metal Legends including Corey Taylor from Slipknot, Jonhatan Davis from Korn or Rob Zombie. To put icing on that fat cake, they also have been on stage with Rob Halford from Judas Priest and they played/sang Painkiller and Breaking the Law together. Rob Halford have called them the future of Metal. That's how big BABYMETAL is... Kinda. Hope that answers your question ;).
I am just now realizing the size of the curtain that we have now peeked behind. I had no idea of the magnitude this band carried. Thank you for you comment we cannot tell you how much we love reading the comment section.
@@shaycegaming I'm equally loving the fact you're taking the time to read and answer to so many comments. The girls in BABYMETAL love to smile and wave at kids during their concerts :).

Ok, so my story with BM can be summed up by the reactions of your girl with the black shirt to Karate: 1) At 0:34 you say "I don't know if we'll come back to this after this or not", and she's like "Thank you, but no thank you". 2) At 4:19 she can't believe what she's watching. 3) At 6:46 she's pulling her bangs down to look like them. Great song, great reaction guys. Keep it up! Stay safe.

Did you know they are so popular that they can demand who are in the audience for some performances? They have some concerts that only have women and girls, young and old people, teens and peeps dressed in skull face paints. Like I said on your last vid, if you want more subs promise us a babymetal journey Much love from UK
I think that the journey is inevitable at this point. We are planning on doing multiple videos and Babymetal will definitely be in the mix. Thanx for the support.
Have you reacted to BAND MAID yet? Iff not you absolutely must they are the hottest band in the world right now right now . Do the live version of DOMINATION that came out a couple of weeks ago from the line cube concert in Shibua. Trust me they are insane.
