how do you then add it all to make 1 star (combine )not several parts?

Best you can do is select all the parts and group them. They can't be combined because inkstitch has to know the order of each separate section

Looks good but i would recommend to end the stitching in the center because finishing in the point there are going to be a lot of short stitches with the lockstitches
