Dan doesn't sing. He performs. He feels. He makes us feel the music. He's phenomenal. More DV, please. He's the best! Thanks for telling people to subscribe to Dan's channel. Great reaction!

Pavarotti is THE tenor, Dan is working out of his garage. Both expialadocious. Dan's covers never cease to impress, and fortunately he has about 200 of them.

There are a few of his covers where his emotions are very exposed. Nessum Dorma is one of them. I have noticed tears in Son of Pain, An American Trilogy, and also in the very end of his homage to Andre Matos in Carry on, which is just awsome. Thanks for you review!

Also The Last Goodbye. He's said he was thinking about his dad in that one.

Dan and his Italian Dad used to listen to Opera together; especially this one. Sadly his Dad died in 2017 and this particular performance was very emotional because his Dad never got to see him sing this. Dan did a phenomenal job and I’m sure his Dad is extremely proud of him.

This song reminds him of his dad who loved Pavarotti. Dan can sing ANYTHING! The more you listen the more you will love him.

He does have a unique voice; he started out a good singer and worked for years to expand his range and vocal techniques; it's also the product of hard work and he likes to emphasize that fact. He not only sings incredibly well, he also emotes every song he sings as this aria attests. His chosen path of using You Tube rather than a recording contract has slowed the world's ability to discover his gift but that is changing. Thank you for reviewing this incredible piece. I love it and am not a fan of opera at all.

❤This is one of his videos that brings tears to my eyes... love Pavarotti... but prefer Dan's way of doing this song... his voice is richer and more full of emotion... when he sings ... he Is the music. He makes you feel it completely... ❤

Thank you for doing another of Dan’s songs! Talking about men crying, check out his American Trilogy, which was his father’s favorite Elvis recording. He recorded this within days of his father’s passing and the emotions are raw. (Darlene Lees)

Thanks for the great reaction! Very true remark about the impossibility of categorizing his voice and performances. That this person can also do Burn Butcher Burn and The Music of the Night and Loch Lomond and Amazing Grace and Son of Pain and all four parts of the Hallelujah Chorus (just a few of many examples I could mention), AND do them all so masterfully, just continues to astonish me. More Dan, please!

Pavarotti is a user God....no one should be compared to him, but I love Dan singing this and all of the emotion he put into it. He used to listen to Pavarotti singing this while riding in the car with his father so it reminds him go his Dad.

    • @TheAnnestube
      @TheAnnestube 7 місяців тому +1

Yes, Pavarotti was one of a kind, and really comparing singers is useless, as each soul brings its own unique quality to its voice.
Where Dan excells, if one should compare the two, is in his raw emotion and his intensity, which i find Pavarotti is lacking - and i believe much of that difference comes from cultural background, personality traits, and spirit.

His subs are now sitting at 857K (09/01/23: 3:30 PM CDT). The average has slowed down over this past week, but the numbers are still climbing. I keep hearing people say things like it'll be a shame when he actually reaches 1,000,000 subs, because then he won't have a goal to pursue any longer.
That makes me think they don't understand Dan (or the rest of his family, from what I've seen) at ALL! Once he hits that 1,000,000 mark, he'll be heading out for 2,000,000. I HIGHLY doubt that he'll ever stop working toward the NEXT goal, and the NEXT goal, etc., etc., etc. He's the one always encouraging US to not be negative, and to have an EPIC day, and he tunes all of his music in that direction!
I really enjoyed your reaction. I love this song SO much, and you were enjoying it so much. Wonderful! 😀
Having said all of that, I have two questions I've been wanting to ask ever since I subbed to your channel.
    1) In the late 1970s, I lived up in the Sierra Madres, above Porterville, California, in the tiny town of Pine Flat. There was a Duffy family that lived there, and one of the boys (who were all about the ages of my own four children) was Michael. You have a similar look about you, as well. So I've been wondering if that might be where you (or possibly your father) were from.
    2) Is the Mayo jar on the back of your sofa there just to make people ask why it's there, or is there some other strange reason? It just seems so mysterious!
No worries if you'd rather not answer either question, but if you decide to do so and would rather not answer either one in public, my about page has an e-mail link.
Now I can quit obsessing over those questions. Whew! 😀

thanks a lot, The Who is considered as being one of the founding groups of hard rock such as Led Zepelin and Deep Purple, Keith Moon, the drummer, completely mad and brilliant, the other musicians, exceptional, keep the good work, one advice (re 60-80's songs): I think you guys should have a the end of the video someone previous generation ('the expert') who would be able to interact with you, answer any doubts and show light on any unknowns, explain the background, typical application of this concept: explaining the background story, I have seen a reaction video featuring Eric Clapton's song Tears in Heaven, where they you tube channel guy thought he was talking about his girl friend when it is about he son who died age 4, does not sound very good to be frank @@michaelwduffy

That's right - he's not Pavarotti; he's Dan doing Dan things, and even when he's just making up goofy songs on the fly on gaming streams, Dan doing Dan things is always way better than Pavarotti! I've never been able to get through Pavarotti's version of this, or anything else, but Dan makes me love this song and opera.
