- Oh, my friends, we're so excited about this. Are you ready for a 21-day knitting challenge? With all the wild challenges out there on ze ol' internets these days, we thought it would be a blast to do a knitting challenge! And yes, we have a crochet one coming soon too. Hurray! In this video you'll learn how easy it is to knit German short rows. This is one of my favorite knitting techniques. I think you'll love it.

Thank you, Chandi, for rescuing a lizard in addition to demonstrating German Short Rows! German Short Rows are the *only* short rows with which I feel totally comfortable, & they are perfectly suited to Garter Stitch. Have a glorious weekend: you & Tim have *earned* it.

It seems like just yesterday I became a Nana 😍my God my first grandson just turned 2 on September 6th my 2nd grandson was born 4 months after my 1st, he will be 2yrs old on January 11th 2022 😳 Crochet and knitting has helped me with my anxiety and depression in the past so much, but I took some time out to step into the Nana role. Just earlier I thought wouldn’t it be nice to get back to knitting especially with autumn coming, and then you pop up challenging me 🤨 I LOVE IT, never have I been challenged for something as helpful as this 👍 I’m grabbing the ladder and Reaching up to my stored yarn 🧶 Thank you from the bottom of my heart I truly truly needed this. Love being a Nana, but we need breaks too, and knowing how to Crochet and Knit is a special hobby and feels like a huge BLESSING🙏

Another beautiful shawl! I'm still working on a couple patterns from last year! Yes, I'm a slow right handed knitter. Now I'm a no handed knitter/crocheter until I get better. I would love if someone would finish at 1 of my shawls. At least, someday next year I'll be able to start up again. Thanks for keeping my spirits high! Love ya!!!

Chandi has great videos to learn knitting. I learned from her. I’ve been following her YT channel for about 6 years now and I’m still learning because I got sidetracked crocheting with her too lol

I'm intrigued by this shawl but I'm on a yarn diet and I don't think I have seven skeins of sport weight yarn let alone in different colors. I do have a bunch of fingering minis. We get lizards at work and we try to catch them and put them back outside.

But because I can not afford to purchase your yarn this time around, do you think I can get the same (or similar) results with an acrylic sport weight yarn from my stash? "Yarn Bee Soft and Sleek Dk" This yarn is so soft and bouncy too. (& it's on the thinner side) I love working with it for crocheting baby items. Thanking you in advance for your advice. I have 2 BURNING questions... 1: In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter if you slip that first stitch purl-wise, as long as it's slipped? 2: At the end of this demo, you don't explain what to do with that last stitch. Is it slipped also? Thanks for all you do!! :-)
1. It won't make much difference but try both ways and see which you prefer. 2. No need to slip the last stitch. Just work across the row, knitting. Have fun!

So, apparently, all of my "mistakes" have just been me practicing German Short Row. haha. I accidentally do this all the time and don't know how to fix it, so I just end up knitting them together and then everything looks lopsided for a bit. Now I know why...

Yes, the Coastal Hues kit will work for the pattern, you will just need to repeat one color since the pattern calls for 7 colors. 💕

At the end of the first colour it says to fasten off. What does that mean?
Just drop the color and pick up the next. You can weave in the ends later. :)
Is there a video to teach your method of knitting? I'm assuming it's a European technique because it looks easier and faster then how I knit.
