This film is based on the Pakistan-India war of 1971. In this war, 120 soldiers of India defeated more than 1000 thousand soldiers of Pakistan.

Bruh. The 120 Indian soldiers defeating 3000 (not 1000) infantry soldiers and 45 Pakistani tanks was just one part of the 1971 war. Smaller parts of a war are called battles. This was the Battle of Longewala. Other battles in the 1971 war include battles like Battle of Garibpur, on which the new movie Pippa is based.

The Hunters of 122 Squadron flew 18 sorties and destroyed 36 enemy tanks, 100 vehicles and killed 200 Pakistan soldiers in a very short span of time thwarting the advance of Pakistani army in its tracks.At the end 200 personnel killed 36 tanks and 500+ vehicles destroyed or abandoned,....Total number of Pakistani Infantrymen was 2000 - 3000 personnel and the Indian casualties were limited to 2 personnel of 23rd Punjab were killed and a M40 recoilless rifle destroyed along with 5 camels ....... !!!!!

Gizzu, Dharamveer joined the army because it was his father's will and his father wanted him to join the army but he had to go through the whole process of selection in the INDIAN ARMY. Because no matter who you are, you will have to voluntarily apply for the army. It doesn't matter who is your father. Indian ARMY selects candidates based on their performances in physical, mental, education and so on.

3:27 OK, minor gaffe there because those trucks are the Tatra 813 8X8. Indian Army didn't have those until more than a decade after this war. But I still like this movie lol. Nostalgia is so hard to beat.

Seriously, Border from 1997 has better shots of a combat jet than the 2023 movie Tejas. Because Border actually shot the real jets whereas Tejas just did CGI. Which is a shame because HAL already has so many Tejas Prototype aircraft that aren't in use anymore now that the testing phase is complete (except for newer upgrades which are tested on a couple of the newer prototypes). Also, even the Tejas jets in service with the Air Force could have been shot for the movie, especially because Tejas can sustain a crazy operational tempo of 5 sorties per day.

Dharamveer did the training, he knew how to shoot and stuff but he never killed someone yet and that too upclose. its a completely different thing to shoot at a thing and at a person. And once u finish this movie I'll tell u an amazing fact ;)

7:34 They are saying Company because each Infantry Battalion of around a 1000 men has 4X Rifle Companies of 124 men each, and one Weapons Company of around 180 men along with a Battallion HQ Company of around 160 men. Each Rifle Company has one Company HQ of 13 men and four 27-man Platoons. And each Platoon has three 10-men Sections plus one HQ section of 7 men. And the Weapons Company has an assortment of heavier crew served weapons like the Medium Machine Gun (MMG), 81mm mortars, Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) and Automatic Grenade Launchers (AGL). And although I say "men", it includes Officers, JCOs and ORs.
