- Come take a peek into Mama’s and my home all decorated for Christmas. We’ll share a little of both of our homes and how we mix antiques and primitives with our Christmas decorating.

The one who has decorated those rooms deserves accolades. She has done beautiful experiments with her creatively nd the best thing is that I saw Santa in earth tones for the first time instead of that usual Red Santa. It was such a treat. And the vintage, antique items rock.
It's so lovely you and your Mama share the same passion and both of your homes are beautiful. My mom liked antiques and when i was little, I'd save up my weekly quarter allowance to buy some little trinkets when we went to Sebago Lake in Maine for a vacation. We didn't have much money then so mom would look for one specific thing and I'd hunt for marbles and glass animals. As a teen, I shopped the Salvation Army looking for 1940's clothes and jewelry. Then when I quit my job and moved to the country 34 years ago, I became an antiques dealer. I've gone through a lot of styles over the years - Asian, English, Country, Primitives, Mission, and now back to Primitives again. After divorcing, I let go of almost everything in my home including my business stock, and am now starting from scratch. Southern New England has lots of estate and yard sales, antique shops, and such, so bargains can be found. One thing I love about Primitive style is a lot of things were hand made based on necessity with plenty of "make-do's" added in and I intend to learn some new skills and create some of my own. Know that your videos have been not only enjoyable but therapeutic in rekindling my interest in decorating my home. You never know who you are helping when you make You Tube videos, and you've been a blessing to me since I first ran into your channel. I just love how you and your Mama are so close. I remember just about the time my mom and I started becoming close, she got cancer and passed away. How I wish I hadn't been such a brat teenager and spent more time with her. I can see the love you both have for each other and that makes my heart sing. Merry Christmas to you both, as well as your precious family.

I was new to UA-cam this time last year and came across your channel. It was a tour of your mama's house and I was completely blown away! Finally!!! Finally...there was a kindred spirit out there who loved the same things I did. I love your home tours. They never disappoint me. Tho I lean more to country colonial, I always gain inspiration from any style shown. You're doing great work! And thank you for what you do!

I love to see all of the homes and decor, but especially yours and Mama's. I live in New England and have collected antiques from that area and from NY for decades. Hi again, Bridget ~ I just viewed this video of how you and your Mama decorated your wonderful houses full of primitive Americana decor for Christmas. Once again, with the period music, I can lose myself into the video as if I'm one of the Little Women living back in the 1860's, LOL! Or it reminds me of the first time I viewed The Civil War documentary by Ken Burns and really felt history come alive. When I watch your videos, I get that intensely close feeling to history but in your case, with all wonderful feelings of connection to our ancestors and how they lived. Thank God, though, that we all have running water and indoor plumbing these days! I remember going to my Gramma's house in upstate New York when I was maybe 4 or 5 and having to go outside in the cold to use the outhouse. Things are better today in that regard but I still love the romanticism of the old style living ware that you and your Mama have found and saved and have displayed so beautifully. Thank you for giving me that feeling of connection to our country's history! I look forward to finding more of your videos.

Oh my the house is beautifully decorated. Attention to every detail. Mamma is so humble and sweet. I just love her! I did not realize how many people decorate or rather live in primitive or colonial, etc. homes. It has inspired me so much. I have to watch each video more than once to take it all in. What a wonderful collection of vintage Santa's! My daughter collects vintage Christmas and she would love her collection. That big tree in the kitchen is wonderful. Of course, your home is breathe taking. I love the simplicity of the greens and berries. Thank you for all of the videos you have shared with us over the year. Bridgett, you truly have outdone yourself this Christmas season. And with a debilitating injury. I too took a fall a few weeks ago. Dislocated a finger and bruised my knee pretty badly but it didn't keep me down. We prim girls are pretty tough. You and your mama's homes are beautiful any time of the year but really shine during Christmas. Hope you and your sweet family have a blessed Christmas and New Year.

Just now getting to slow down and watch your video. I love Christmas, so I enjoy watching Christmas videos all year to get ideas. Your mother’s mantle was so pretty with the violin as the center piece and I loved that red berry wreath on the door in her dining room. Did you all make that? Bridgett, your front and back porches were just beautiful. I loved that large Santa on your front porch. Please keep doing your videos. Your mother's home is such a lovely prim home. I really like how she decorated it for christmas & love that cute deer sitting on the bed. Love your front porch & your big santa by the front door & the basket hanging on the house near the front door. Both of your homes are such great homes decorated in prim style & looks great at christmas too. Thankyou Bridget for the tours.
The deer was very pretty and unexpected, and I loved the horse pillow on the bed too!

Out of all the houses you've shown us I love you and your moms best. Tastefully done. I hope in the new year you will do more crafts with your mom. Loved the bee skip? Is that right. Your mom had a kind of rack that was in the front with maybe a couple gourds, can you maybe show us how to make one of those. I'm sure you two have lots of ideas for us.
