I was a paratrooper in the British Army, and I see you’ve got a lot of British Army kit. That’s quite a load to carry I’d like to see it when it’s all together nice one mate. And I’ve just subscribed to your channel.

Wow! That's a lot of gear for 54lbs. - good job! Only so much you can do with a ruck - just have to 'suck it up' but your fighting load needs to fit, be balanced and be familiar. Your entire loadout looks very good.

Very nice. I'm learning so much from this contest and I'm glad to see people posting their submissions as publicly viewable so we can all learn. I've submitted my video already and now am watching other peoples videos and learning so much i need to start a list of things i need to rectify with my setup for the future.

thank you. Man, we think alike. Edit: ok, we deviate on a couple things. I think we can have too much ammo, if it is a recon mission. And, I think the salute needs more detail about what is seen, and not seen. I forgot to add my hot hands....
Our ARs look similar and my hex mags look just like yours. Freaky. I hope we're on the same team.

I was always taught a Salute report if a brief snapshot. Who’s to say that these DLF guys didn’t hook up with a heavy weapons squad a few hundred meters down the road. Jus sayin. 🤷
The intent on a recon mission is to remain unseen and not fire a shot. However, if discovered, you’re gonna have to protect yourself until you get CAS, indirect fire, or evac.
Thanks for watching and the comments.

@@cap6888 Certainly, brief and concise. I always recall a salute "class" where the instructor asked after the scenarios, if we noticed anything missing. A couple examples had intentional missing items that were relevant and nobody thought to add that fact. For this example, I added a couple extra words and noted the missing items; higher can filter the info.
I absolutely agree that we shouldn't assume or speculate beyond our observation.
As for ammo, I just felt dropping from 10 to 6 AR and from 3 to 2 pistol for this was reasonable. I'd rather carry more smokes instead.
Again, thanks for making your submission public.

@@dus777 thanks for your input. Everyone has different takes and good info to add. Something that we miss out is what equipment our partner would be carrying. That would tend to splitting some "shareable" items. I packed an e-tool, so he wouldn't need to. That would enable him to carry more frags or smokes. Lot of variables out there.

I'm sorry, you either need to re-calibrate your scale or stop lying about weight.
    your pack has
12.8 lbs of water, a 9lb sleep system, 4 mags
That's 25.8 lbs alone. I don't buy it, the rest of your gear dose not weigh 1.2 lbs

    • @cap6888
      @cap6888  Рік тому +2

It’s not the full MSS system, just the patrol bag and bivy, so it’s about 5 pounds. I don’t know what else to tell you, maybe my scale is off.

It gets lighter as you go besides that you drop pack in cache fighting load at rep you could be out longer than a 72 with this setup you just never know how plans can change
