I’m glad she actually kinda understand Gon’s “sudden” change. A lot of people accuse Gon of having unrealistic and exaggerated development when they kinda missed the point. This isn’t a sudden change or character development, it’s just Gon revealing more about his actual character.
@Gale not to mention kite is the closest thing to a father figure to him, which is probably part of why he cares about kite so much more than Killua when Killua is usually the one to freak out over losing someone. And seeing pitou heal komugi added to the mental stress. Most kids see the world as more black and white and seeing the person who mercilessly killed the one he cares deeply about healing another person, he can’t really wrap his head around the idea of a murderer saving someone. I think all of Gon’s actions and motivations make complete sense, it’s just the reasons aren’t explicitly shoved in our face which I actually like.
@Gale i felt that way too tbh. But this is the anime’s fault for not showing kite in the beginning of the series. I actually wouldnt mind if Madhouse starts eps 76 with them already knew each other (just like the manga), but they changed it and made them ‘strangers’ who just met.
@@Saku_607 I also think part of the reason why he's so unhinged is because he felt like he's failing Ging's by causing Kite's death. 6:40 " Why is so week right now. So I think she's behaving like this. This is my expectation and may not be correct. I'm Japanese and I'm not very good at English, so I'm sorry if I can't tell.
Gon and Killua switched the role of the moral standpoint totally in this Episode. The Episodes starting from the Attack are such a emotional rollercoaster. It will get better and better.

Gon has always been like this since the hunter exam. He doesnt care if other people dies, i mean a lot of people died in front of his eyes in the exam and he doesnt care unless it involves him or his friends. He's always been selfish and has been forshadowed alot of times from other characters in previous arcs.
This episode is so heartbreaking. Poor Gon, no child his age should have to deal with these situations. Poor Killua, he has to watch Gon go off the deep end, knowing there's nothing he can do to help. Poor Pitou even. Everybody's having a bad time here 😭
Both Gon and Meruem, and Gon and Killuas relationship are flipping. Gon is the monster here, while the King is having an identity crisis and becoming more human. Then Killua was saved by Gons light, now he’s the one who has to save Gon from his own anger and malice.
Pitou is still insanely stronger than Gon.. but she can't use Nen or fight while healing Komugi, which she can't back down from that due to her loyalty to the king.. She's desperate because she doesn't want to fail the king, and she sees Gon's resolution.. that's it, she's way stronger but the conditions heavily favor Gon.
You should also understand that gon is partly to be blamed aswell for his current situation . His arrogant cocky disagreeable and not listening side of him was the very reason why kite lost his arm , if he hasn't maybe there is a possibility atleast that he could have been able to escape. Gon didn't listen when kite yelled and screamed at him to run asap , even though kite time and again warned him to fucking run if he ever ordered him to run without turning back or second thoughts. But gon's arrogant nature like how he chose to not follow the plan with bisky and killua in greed island against genthru , and many other situations which are extremely risky and end up detrimental to the team's success , to say so. Hisoka fucking punched him and humbled him aswell😆😆. "So , don't say he doesn't have to experience this ". It's just too naive , willfully ignorant and empathetic, towards only how you feel . Gon is very much part of the reasons for his own problems and partly deserve the consequences of his own actions and decisions and nature. Hisoka is the only one who has every put gon in his place and maybe the spiders partially. If only more people be strict and discipline this stupid boy .
