Lol I love this video and this guy. You can tell he’s worked with some pretty sketchy ppl if he lists to not bring a gun lmayoooo😂 great video!
+Gianna Baum Thanks, finally someone who gets me! Lol. Yes, back in the days with Wu Tang and others, we had to ask them not to bring their guns, so we wouldnt have another shootout. :)
@@SkyeLabMusicGroup - Very unprofessional of them. But Wu-Tang forever!
@@lordundhimself1310 Haha!!! Yep, was one of 'em!
Couple hours of practice on a song is my limit , they are only home recordings . But this was very informative..

Hey I see you reply to comments so can you make a video on what singers should know because I could sing but I can't read music
I cannot say thank you enough. Those were really eye opening advices. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿. As a new artist I'm always happy to know the do's and don't. Feeling serious about taking this to another level and not make mistakes.
So glad it helped. As a new artist there is a lot to learn, but going into with your eyes wide open is the safest way. Good luck! 👍
awesome advice..thanks
Thanks so much! More videos coming. :)
Thank you
#10 surprised me!
Yes, but it's something that too many singers do! Hopefully this will make them think the next time. Thanks :)
#9 is what people need to hear. It applies to everything you said prior and after.
If you put in work. EX: 8+ hours a day researching production, audio engineering, etc... your chances increase! Regardless of what you learn from it, you're DOING IT.
If you get a decent mic, a basic program (cakewalk) is perfect for beginners and FREE. You will learn about yourself, the process, and it allows you to embark on a whole separate journey that will broaden your perspectives!
Hey I see that you have logic's stereo spread plugin loaded up on the screen in the background. What do you use it for? I don't so many people/engineers that use it.
Not really much, I just picked as many interesting looking plugins that I could fit on the screen as a backdrop. But I actually do occasionally use it. But it does some weird phasing thing that doesn't sound great in mono. For stereo spread I usually go to PA Stereomaker, or the Soundtoys Microshift. Or if I just want to widen the existing stereo image, then Waves S1 Imager works well, sometimes.
Thanks for the reply! I really like your channel. You teach really applicable topics and are very thorough in your explanations.
sir, Congratulations for all that incredible info, is the music business that I was studying for 3-4 years until to learn and practice them. but, I get one question out of them, How an artists should make money and pay for their recordings-mixing and mastering? Through a 9-5 job(anything or teaching music)? or playing live at gigs performing cover songs? Others, can do it through playing live at streets collecting donations. . . what do you think about it? and what do you suggest that is the best possible way?
That has always been the big question. :) And I think the answer is whatever is right for you, may not be right for another person. And everyone that I know in the music industry that has had any success has a completely different story then everyone else. There is no standard career path in this industry. Good luck, and continue to learn as much as you can and hopefully you'll keep taking positive steps upwards.
I think the tenth is the most important for me
Hey Fulvio, yes, still a problem for me as well, now that I'm doing youtube videos. Hard to just say "it's good enough for now". BTW, nice videos on your channel. 🎸
Big fan of your work Sir , will be great if Mansi can have the opportunity to work with you on vocalist , we have our home studio where we can record the vocals . Can provide all details if you feel there is an opportunity, Thank you !! Lot of learning from your videos , cheers
Hi Subho, Mansi has a really beautiful voice. Please send me an email at skyelabny@gmail.com and we can talk more about it. Thanks. 👍
@@SkyeLabMusicGroup thank you so much , appreciate your support

What am I guilty of? Sitting on music. I tend to only release one track per year and constantly tweak...
It's hard to build any momentum with only a song a year! You also run the risk of overshooting it. Meaning it might have been better before the last 2 months of tweaks. (but maybe not :)
That secret is to WORK YOUR ASS OFF!!!!
😂
GUNS? lol
More videos please!
Yep! More then a few times. Lol. More videos on the way soon. 😀
