Thanks Marco for your review. Its great to see new interest in a cold war camera classic. It continues to both fascinate and horrify film buffs but everyone agrees it can still take a great photo.
I remember some pictures in B&W for a friend, shooting at abandoned buildings and old man sitting ( garden or inside doors ) , always great images, its different, looks like vintage time!! nice images, Marco!!!!
Love the samples, very nice pictures here !
Great Praktica camera, great Pentacon lens !
Thank you!
Nice Pics! I just picked one of these up; can't wait to try it out.
Have fun with it and let us know when you had the chance to try it!
thanks for this nice review !!!
I can recommend the Praktica MTL cameras too, use it since 1990 with lots of joy !
They are indeed tanks 😁

Indeed! And thanks for watching!
it is no cold war camera, it was made in the GDR at VEB Pentacon in Dresden.
Nice photos, and interesting subjects..... I especially like the shots in the old town. Thanks
Thank you!

Yeah, but one day I would like to achieve that really really old look, like, 1930s old ;)
Toss in a few colour pics to show how it does.
How the Pentacon does? I've got both a dedicated review and a video about shooting it on Kodak Colorplus ;) ua-cam.com/video/hwlbIyh3q3A/v-deo.html
what type of film did you use?
Ilford HP5 plus
was the camera's metre used or another method
I used the camera's lightmeter and a regular 1.5v battery, overexposing just a little bit to compensate 😉
Hi Jesus 😊
all your shots are badly overexposed!
...you might consider checking the settings of your monitor or device, because they are definitely not 😉
The settings on my phone are for low backlight, exposures look great ! Once you start printing images you realise that computers and phones corrupt
