You don't buy liandrys for the AP, you buy it for the burn on every W and the CDR the mythic passive gives. Both mandate and liandry are perfectly fine, and I'd argue you can even go full lethality with umbral, duskblade and axiom if the enemy team is squishy and you're snowballing (similar to the Ashe top setup but more support-oriented).
11:40 - regarding the AP from Liandry. I see a few people mentioning that you do not build it for the AP and that you want the AH mythic passive + burn, which is true. I won't go into the cost difference either. But I wanted to mention something else. Mandate's mythic passive is 15 AP per Legendary item. With your support item + another legendary, that's 30 AP on top of the 40 base, for a total of 70 AP, while Liandry gives 80. So the AP argument is absolutely invalid here.
I was playing Ashe support before Senna and Imperial Mandate existed. The global vision, constant slows, and global root skillshot, it was amazing, and hopefully still is.
Personally I stard with Umbral Glaive for cdr, dammage on W and AA and vision Then boots and mythical item. For runes I do the same as rat IRL but with zombie wards. It allows me to do around 150/170 vision score per game
The liandry is good since it applies in every W and the mythic passive gives haste. My build for her master+ is ionian>liandry>axiom arc>archangel's staff>morello(it applies on W by the liandry and R) and sometimes can be the Putrifier if you go with the font of life rune. :)
This is similar to my Goddess Ashe build on ARAM, but I buy Ionians, Tear (eventually archangel's), Liandry's, Cosmic Drive, Demonic Embrace, and then Rylai's. Early game I play safe until I get Liandry's and then the fun begins. Constant W burns every 2 seconds, keeping them in place until the team starts to build momentum and then gradually unstoppably push to the Nexus. @@spencermorales7688 you're right since ashes slow hits 30% at level 18 so it does slow more but it's a very marginal increase especially since you build it late game for example at lvl 10 it's only a 5% increase and you're probably getting hit much later so a 3% better slow at most (lvl13) 1.2% (lvl 16) I would personally rather build something else but you do you
Different build. Try hail of blades with umbral glaive and axium arc and pick up an early tear. You skip mythic but this build does some surprising burst damage and lets you easily stack Q. You also get ridiculous cooldowns on your ult. This build path is really good at engaging and peeling while maintaining good damage to pick off the people who trying to kill the actual adc.
When i want to play supoort for fun i play ap ashe supp maybe is trash because the only scaling is the R but at same time with cdr u can have ultimate every 26-30 seconds in late. Im kinda good sniping with R from base and when i got tho lane again i have R again, so can be useful in some times, the only bad thing is if they pick edge of night or banshee... This works mostly when they are all squishies (i pick liandry most of the times anyways) but if they have 1-2 tanky just try to focus on which target u can get with R and kill it with ur team.

i just did this w a very different rune set (HOB, cheap shot, zombie ward, ult hunter manaflow transcendance i think) rushed manamune so that the adaptive runes dont change + swifties into mandate and this shit hits like a truck especially with an ezreal in laning phase

Though healing is lowered across all champions, the post durability patch league means that those same champions tend to be getting more healing off per trade as fights take longer. For a support on a support income, healcut is still the most cost efficient item to deal effective damage in most circumstances, even over damage oriented support items like ardent censor and zeke’s convergence.
So vs soraka, she's actually skillmatch up, yuumi is never winnable since fk the cat. Also, mandate is only if all of your lanes are winning or even, if one is losing and the enemy is an actual carry for example Yone, regardless the other roles are winning, liandrys is better. Gives you CD like mandate and the burn for poke in objective zoning. I go umbral first, bc or liandrys second. Last item usually is armor pen %. Collector is fun too for sniping kill ult especially once you sell the ward item for axiom.

Fun fact if you pick font of life rune and build an ardent censor the slow procs it on enemies and will heal/proc ardent for you and buff your allies.

New korean meta is using AS rune buffs like HoB and LT. All it takes is a W and the HoB sequence of autos to snare a person and put so much pressure.
