I own 1.6 petrol one. No problems with engine but god damn it's underpowered... Rear door locks are common problem for this car.

Door locks are usally fixed by drilling holes into the locking mechanism and spraying some WD40. It's a widely accepted solution since more often than not that seems to be the problem rather than electric/motor issue.

I've had a 2006 TFSI FR in yellow (the best colour😁) since it was 1 1/2 years old. Did a stage 1 reprogram years ago (from 200 hp to 240hp)
Just coming up to 150,000km (93,000 miles)
I've not had to do anything major on the car but does that mean its about to become a money pit and I should upgrade now?😬

Hi. Mk2 seat cupra 2010. It has done 140,000 miles. Changed the timing belt ( i don't have a chain), fuse box, (corrosion), all 4 suspension dampers, and now the throttle body is being replaced. Looking at starter, turbo and clutch and gearbox at some point. Depressing

The 1.6tdi common rail engines are really bad for the injectors failing without warning, especially the Seimen/Continental brand injectors, this system isn't the best as it is not recommended to mix brands, and once one goes the rest are soon to follow, the injectors can cost anywhere from £300-£540 though second hand they are on average £130 but obviously comes with risks of the same thing happening sooner than it would with a new injector.
Parts for suspension and brakes are very cheap to buy though, and they are an extremely safe car in the event of a crash, I know this from first hand experience

Im thinking to buy a 1.6 105hp, change the injectors is a good choice or must i search for another car?

@@trigi21 I personally wouldn't replace the injectors unless you end up with an injector fault, then I'd advise replacing the failed injector, though if you can afford to replace all 4 at once then do so, as could save some potential problems further down the line. For a new injector from Seat in the Uk, I was £560 for the injector not including fitting
Alternatively look into buying a 1.9tdi seat leon instead of the 1.6tdi, still produces 105 bhp standard, strong gear box set up with decent gearing will see you around 50-60mpg, plus in the event of the injectors giving any issues, they're significantly cheaper to buy and easier to source.
