God I love Jimmy. I've had his words an music in my life since I was 11 or 12. I figured he would live longer than me or most all of us. I thought there would be news stories about him on tour at the age of 150 or something. It means so much to me that you did this tribute. Love you, Todd. Peace.
I had the good luck to hang with Will Jennings for a couple of months 30 years ago. The stories………… I am in fact living my life like a jimmy song. Sitting on my back deck, looking over perfect blue water, and an island just far enough to need a tiny boat to get there. Jimmy, I’m missing you, but you’re with the father, with the wind at your back.
I have listened to this 10 times. I am still bummed about Jimmy passing on. I must say though, Todd Snider should cover everyone who passes because his covers of JJW and Jimmy Buffet are beyond great.

I’ve been trying to digest the loss of Jimmy Buffett the last couple of days. He’s a whole lot more to most of us than just drinking songs. That’s where I believe he is misunderstood the most. Those songs were legendary but they don’t even scratch the surface, check with Todd on that. His songwriting/stories, fiction and nonfiction, have somehow made a lot of us all feel like we were there with him. He’s part of our life and our family and we will always be grateful for that.
Spent yesterday boating around the local lake with Buffet on the stereo.... and we werent the only ones. Today listening to Todd- 2 pretty good days of free therapy!

We sang a bunch his songs, talked about him, and just basked in the vibe his music brings- never knowing he was getting ready to set sail one last time. But there's something wrong with anyone who can't admit that they know all the lyrics to Margaritaville, and can sing it pretty well with enough alcohol in them. 1980 Kings Dominion - I was 15 when I saw Jimmy for the first time…. His music was the soundtrack of my youth… thanks Todd.. you sound real good.
