What makes Onlyfools so brilliant is the characters are so natural. Theres no putting on over exaggerated movements, or accents, they seem like they're just being themselves.

When you look at some comedies like that god awful thing Harry Enfield and Amanda Holden were in, Harry put on a totally over the top voice that is best left to a sketch show style comedy rather than a convincing sitcom.
Trigger was definitely one off a kind. But we had some awesome ones in great Britain. Porridge. Going straight. Rising damp. George and Mildred. Love my neighbour. On the buses. Some mother's do have them. Open all hour's. Still open all hour's. Lee Evans. The good Life Richard briers. And the awesome Ronnie Barker. And many more 👍

There's plenty good stuff now, like Friday night dinner. There was also a load of crap back then which nobody watches now because they forgot about it. OFAH was great though.

When I sit and watch my Fools and Horses box set and I laugh throughout - it just makes me think - how on earth did John Sullivan write all of those fantastic scripts for all of those years and never missing a step............ i think Gavin and Stacey was a great comedy in as far as it played on the same lines as fools and horses whilst being unique........... but 17 years of writing fools and horses and not a foot wrong just amazes me and such perfect casting.
John was responsible for the script of another brilliant series some years before OFAH. "Just Good Friends", with Jan Francis & Paul Nicholas. Very hard to find any clips of it nowadays, & the DVD set costs a small fortune!
You gotta hand it to the writers and then you gotta hand it to the actors,who gave life to these to these amazing characters.You get Trigger fanatics,Del Boy ones,Rodney ones,Marleen ones,Bosie ones,Denzel and so on.Viewers will still be watching this sitcom in 50 years time and they will still be bent over lashing and cracking up,just like what we do.

I like this unexpected friendship between Del and Cassandra's Dad. Very masculine and optimistic. Rodney is status anxious and worried Del would be an embarrassment but people will surprise you.
Citizen Khan was alright at first but quickly grew tedious after it's second season Mrs Browns Boys was arse from day one and it pisses me off greatly that it's considered the best Irish sitcom. *cough*Father Ted*cough*
