Pain does "straight damage" up to his Full AoE. That means that the displayed damage, i.e. 243k, is done with each hit of his multihit, so for his placement, he's actually doing 243k x 4, or basically a million damage. He loses DPS after multi-hit, since it's single-hit.
Smoker (or Gas), alongside Akainu, also have this effect.
My pain is glitched and does like 3mil with crits on place.
This is a overview for people who want a summary
Worthiness basically increases the odds of you getting S - SS - SSS, it doesn't completely get rid of the chance of getting C- and stuff like that. All it does is increase the chance of you getting S stats and above (correct me in the comments if I'm wrong)
Funny thing about cid is his first nuke, the only downside being is his first nuke is within his range. While his 2nd nuke (5b one) is map wide. And rengoku is technically a starter character (just wait 1 wave and you must be in the group) with burn on placement and with avatar he does around 400k dmg and almost 800k with glitched. Good luck grinding y'all and good luck on world 2!
Edit: Path is multihit and also decent damage, overall he can work as both a damage unit and support depending how you build him. I have glitched griffin which is basically the unob version of pain and he does about 15m damage at max with a SPA of around 6 spa since his slow is around 6spa ish.
Last stand just has so much better player interactivity than most other atd’s

Pains first move is bugged it happened to gojo full aoe upgrade wayy back in the day where the damage shown is hitting multiple times instead of the multiple hits adding up to the damage shown might get patched but if it doesn’t then pain gonna stay heat👍🏾
Shadows 1 Million cost upgrade is not just a more powerful nuke its also the all range atomic and can nuke the entire map even out of the range

worthiness is only for 1 roll yes it shows u still have it but you dont, and it doesnt affect much

the best method is to macro the 6th raid on any of them
i rerolled 902 rerolls on rengoku : from overloard to nothing ( i wanted avatar, i didnt get just 1)
