@@alan4sure don't know about him but I did get to see Del and a bunch of others at the Romp Fest in Owensboro Kentucky. Check it sometime if you get the chance... it's on par with the Del Fest and the big names in Bluegrass. Ricky Skaggs, Allison Krause, Dan Tyminski, Steel Driver's with Chris Stapleton etc have performed there.
Hah! First, Jason breaks a string on the fiddle, and he runs off the stage. Then Del breaks a string on the guitar and he keeps on playing. Then John Cowan steals the show with Del's help! Awesome! Then Jason returns and solos without tuning his fiddle--but he sounds great!
... then Alan breaks a string on the bass, but those strings are so small you don't see it or hear it, and he changes it so quickly you don't even know it happened 😂 nah, they had a rough time with strings breaking on this song, wonder if it was drastic weather change related?
